Needing to sign-in each day now. Why?

Hello,
I just purchased a new iMac and since downloading Firefox, if I close the browser window or if I leave the window open, but there is no activity for a while, I am signed out of Dave's Garden. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening? I cleared my cookies and then signed back in thinking there may have been something wrong with the first cookies, but it is still happening. It's so annoying to keep signing in all the time. Has anyone else had this happen? Anyone know how to fix it?

Click on the word "Firefox" in the menu bar, then choose Preferences. Go to the privacy tab, and check two things. 1) check that the line that says "accept cookies from sites" is checked. 2) make sure that "clear history when Firefox closes" is NOT checked (or if there are some things that you want to clear every time you close, you can leave it checked but click on the settings button and on the next screen, uncheck the cookies box).

Hey, this is what's happening to me. And I've checked the cookies and gone through all the other hoops. I'm using the same computer and I haven't changed anything. This is a nutty problem. It's been going on for several days. Any NEW ideas?

The cookie settings are always the first place to check since that's the problem 9 times out of 10. I don't know what's going on in your case, but since treelover has a new computer and a newly downloaded browser, I think it's highly likely in this case that those settings just need to be adjusted (the default setting when the browser is first installed is often to not allow cookies and/or to dump them when the browser closes)

Mine's been doing the same thing, not just here, but on Pogo as well. All of my privacy settings are the same as they were before this started, so I'd say it's another firefox glitch.

Just for kicks and giggles try opening up an internet explorer page, shutting it, opening again, and seeing if you're still logged in.
