Hee Hee! ☺

Robindog, that wintergreen is beautiful! I've had a hard time getting that established in my garden. What's your secret?

(Edited because I'm dopey and called the plant evergreen instead of Wintergreen!)

Grows wild where I hike.

Thanks Victor. That makes me feel so much better.

Hee hee. Remember in Santa Claus is Coming to Town? 'Please, call me Winter'.

I just got the plant this summer, Digger---my nephew bought it for me from Wave Hill in the Bronx. However, I think it likes it in my garden since it has doubled its size---it's an eastern exposure, with lots of mulch.

Love Wave Hill. Didn't know they sold stuff.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Still have never been there!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Let's plan a visit together in the spring!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You're on.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

What is Wave Hill?

Oh, goodie! You wanna come Louise? Anybody else?

Victor, have you ever been to Stonecrop Gardens? http://www.stonecrop.org/index_cal_view.php

There's also Lasdon Park Arboretum near me that I've been meaning to see. http://www.westchestergov.com/parks/ParksLocations02/Lasdon.htm

Last August I visited the Orange County Arboretum. http://www.orangecountyarboretum.org/

Wave Hill is at the top of my list here, with Stonecrop a close second.

No - looks nice.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Let's go there too.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I'd be interested in all of them. I love visiting gardens, public or private.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

You're welcome to come. When spring comes, if I don't bring it up, remind me about it.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Weeze, you're driving if we're going to da Bronx.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yeah, that's one we didn't even mention. The New York Botanical Gardens (cue angelic music). I'm going there no matter what!

He he... Wave Hill easy to get to in 'da Bronx'. Besides, it's in a very wealthy neighborhood. Huge mansions and all. No worries if you get lost, just beauty everywhere.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am with Jen on that one.. the city and my truck... don't think so.. I would be a nervous wreck

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Not a problem for me to drive ;)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oh, I meant to also say that Wave Hill is in a residential neighborhood. Lots of trees and windy roads. So pretty.

Thomaston, CT

If you go on a weekend, I can visit my nephew & his family---plus I have a gift certificate from there!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yes, I'm sure we'll go on a weekend. Yeah! It'll be fun!

Thomaston, CT

You bet!
