LOVE the snow shot, since we don't get much here.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very pretty shots, Pat!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Great shots Pat!

Jen, did you grow up in NJ? I grew up in Chester and I remember a lot more snow when I was a kid than it seems nowadays.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Been here all my life, I love Chester very pretty.

Yes I def remember more snow and colder, we lived on a lake and I remember it freezing every year so we could go ice skating, we would even shovel the ice and make snow houses on the ice with paths thru each room to skate thru. When hubby and I bought the house I grew up in (in 1992) I think the ice only froze 2X while we lived there those 12 years.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Eeeek! Then it's not just my perception. We used to build tunnels in the snow. We had such a good time!

Yeah, Chester is beautiful. When I was there, it wasn't so touristy/upscale. Just a sweet, regular town. My house was over 100 years old right on Main St. Loved it then...

South Hamilton, MA

Can't beat cardinals & snow.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Wow 2 threads with beautiful pictures. Love those MG shots, I too like to grow them.

Nice bud Celeste. I also love MGs. They don't grow for me. They're usually scrawny and sickly, then the slugs devour them. Heavenly Blue is a traditional one, but my favorite.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Beautiful Candida Pirl, but I was thinking of Omo.

I remember colder weather also, for longer periods of time. I used to skate on the lake down the street as a kid too.

Thomaston, CT

All nice---I'm bummed---can't get one shot---yes, much colder & snowier when I was a kid---ground was always frozen by Thanksgiving---we skated all winter.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

here is one of my fav begonia shots

Thumbnail by onewish1

Best pic I ever took even though I had to run to get the shot.

Oh nice close-up on the begonia. Such sunny warm colors.
That little guy is really adorable Sherrie. So unusual, you really got a great shot of him.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Great shot Sherrie!
Beautiful begonia Allison.

Oh I luv the squirrel!!
The begonia is beautiful, looks like it's lit up!
Lovely Lily too!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Yowza! Everyone's pics are so beautiful! I think we are going to need a 5 year calender!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - this is getting more difficult. Maybe we should just have a calendar thread!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

You could start one for your birthday, Victor!

Here's one for the winter:

True! Nice snow shot.

South Hamilton, MA

Poor squirrel. It is really in danger unless there is snow.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I thought this was the calendar thread.

Allison, that begonia is gorgeous. I think the Squirrel is scary! Great shot, though. Celeste, beautiful lily. Arlene, your shot makes me miss your place.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

That sounds like a plan Victor.
Pretty asiatic Pixie. I may have to get more lilies even if it means more red devils to pick off all season. They are so hard to resist.
Those cold lonely chairs and table. How different they will be when color returns to the garden.
The cold winter snow always looks better with a touch of spring color.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh yes, always! ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It is, Harp, but I meant that maybe since we have so many pics we should just do a photo per day thread instead??

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oh, I get it! It's working well with the Countdown to Spring thread!

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

ngam..like the indoor outdoor contarst in your pic. reminds me of my cat waiting to go out.
