Photo Contest 2 - NE Calendar
Thanks Dnut!!
Harper your illustrations are spectacular!! Holy cow what do you need a course in!! I would give up a digit to have a 1/4 of talent like that! My son and husband both can draw unfortunately my husband parents never encouraged him to go anywhere with it. My son on the other hand is a graphics designer now and is in the process of getting his tattoo licence. Watch out for 'Philly Inc"!! LOL
Not an easy trip over that rainbow, is it dnut?!!! LOL! What is that photo you posted? It's gorgeous! Who is the talented one?
Love those columbines!!!
Awww, Ronnie. Thanks. Good luck to your son! I've seen some pretty spectacular tattoos.
Luv the columbines too. Need that with the weather forecast today. What a wonderful talent, good luck with your certificate aspirations and I hope you enjoy the journey. Such a talented group here at the NE forum. Designers, illustrators, wall builders and marvelous gardeners.
Lovely drawings. I am envious of your talent--my grandchildren can out draw me also, although I think that I am even with the 5 yr.old. Not so with the teenagers.
Thanks ngam and IrisMA! He he..."wall builders"
Harper, they are beautiful! Love that cyclamen, it would look gorgeous anywhere!
the correct term is "waller" :)
Or rockhead. ^_^
Harper I think you need to teach, those are wonderful!
I prefer 'boulder babe' myself.
That was Dolly Parton.
Bill wouldn't mind.
Neither would I. We could share. ^_^
Love your stuff Harper!! What medium will you be using for color on the cyclamens? Maybe you could post your progression? I, for one, would love to follow the cyclamens to fruition.
Thanks Marilyn, Celeste and Louise!
Louise, I don't know what I'll do to color the cyclamens. It's on bristol board. I might do watercolor pencil, then blend with just a little bit of water, but the pencil bothers my wrist, so I'm not sure. Originally, I wanted to oil paint it, but I don't have any of my paints anymore. Just my easel and brushes. The easel is so large, it's been in the garage for the last six years. I bought oil pastels last week to see if maybe I could use them, but I've never used them before and I should do some experimenting first. So far, I don't like them.
Try watercolors, Harper---you would need an opaque guache for the top of the leaves.
I was just admiring the finished DG calendar and I wondered if you could have the pics put on notecards that are also available at Zazzle with the photographers permission? I would luv to have the pics on cards for sending seeds in. Who would I ask about that? DG? Zazzleguy?
I love the DG calender cover! Going back to see the rest...
Calendar sale at Zazzle. Tomorrow is the last day. So the DG 11 X 17 calendar is just $11.65, instead of $20.95. Just put in promo code 'CALENDARS998'.
There was only a couple of pics I voted for in that calender so I won't be getting it this year.
So what about OUR calendar?? I'll put up a couple of pics......this is the columbine pic that I love
Of couse if it doesn't make the cut, I will crawl into a corner, quit my job, end up on gov't assistance, never speak again (might make a few people happy) never eat again (HELLO size eight) and generally ball up and die........Ahemmm, I will live, but still I would like that size 8.
So put up pics....let's get going!!!
Okay everyone, pic your faves and give them a show!!
Yes, we have sort of forgotten about the NE calendar! Nice shots, Weeze. Hee hee - I remember the toy pic.
Yes, Victor (such dirty minds) and you have a thousand great photos, so choose a few of your faves and put them up. Come on.......Harper has a gorgeous photo of Dawn, the clem, not a person.. it is beautiful!! I know there are so many more...let's get going kids!
That's why I would prefer we just submit one each. That way we can probably include them all.
Oh nice flutterby and a gorgeous flower pic. Who is that handsome guy? Such wonderful detail.
Great Lily shot Jen!
Love the butterfly shot Jen!!
Thanks, that's a Painted Lady
My idea of a painted lady involves body paint...
Makes me think of someone covered in tattoos
All so prettiful. There are going to be very TOUHGIE decisions methinks ^_^
