How do I "tag" a page?

I am very interested in learning how to do this.

DMgardener: You should see a little icon of a manila folder somewhere at the top of each page. If you click on that little manila folder photo it will give directions how to tag that particular page. Then you can find your "tagged" pages by going to your info page.

On any page at DG?

I think I've seen the little icon on every page. I've tagged many articles and I think I've also tagged a couple of threads I thought I might want to refer back to. The little icon shows up for me at the top right of my screen, just to the right of the area that says search forums. If I click on the manila folder icon I can tag this page.

The little manila folder (a tiny, pale yellowish icon in the shape of a file folder) is near the top of the page on the far right. It is usually under the banner just under the time. The folder is on most pages and should be on any page that can be tagged.

Once you find the folder once, it will become 2nd nature to find it on other pages.

You can also tag individual posts (as opposed to entire pages). To do so, 1st click on the Post# on the far left of the individual post. It will be a few lines down under the poster's name, city, zone, the date, etc. When you click on the Post# it will take you to a page with just that individual post on it. There will be a manila folder icon on that page, too. Click on the folder icon to tag the post.

plantladylin -- Yes, it is good to know how to tag individual posts. It can be especially handy when you find an interesting piece of OT info in a very long thread. Tagging the post allows you to jump right to that piece of info that might otherwise be very difficult to find if you only tagged the thread.

You can also tag photos within posts the same way. When you click on the photo to enlarge it, there will be a manila folder icon at the top of that page.

It is my understanding that you can basically tag any page that has the folder at the top.

I love it and I'm so glad you shared that tip. It sure does make it easier to "tag" just the piece of information within a thread, rather than having to scroll through a sometimes very long thread to find what you are looking for!
