Green versus blue

In the list of forums I'm watching at the top of the home page, some of the names are green and some are blue. What is the significance of the colors?

Blue turns to green anywhere on this site when you click on a topic to view.

Yes, see this forum, all the threads you have looked at are now green.

Or if you click on a member's name, it will now turn green, and will show green no matter where they post. Your browser may clear all history though so it won't last.

And when you drag your mouse over a blue word it will turn red before you click on it!
