This year the photos are far and away the best we've ever had, and it would have been impossible for one person to select winners. It shows me again how valuable it is to have everyone vote on their favorites. ^_^

We had 268 people enter 2,814 entries this year. Last year, we had 202 people enter 1,730 photos.

Yes, ditto... congrats to ALL the winners! Voting was very difficult, as always, because the quality was so deep in every category! I love seeing so many beautiful photos here on DG!

Wow, the DG photographers are an amazingly talented bunch!

I loved seeing all the photos during the contest, and I'm just awestruck by the winning images!

It was hard for me to decide which photo for which month in voting for the calendar because I usually pick snowy, wintry photo's for December and January and there were none to choose from. Same with Oct and Nov for fall pic's, but I was able to get one photo with autumnal colors for one of those months. I know whichever photo's end up as the selected winners, it's going to be a great calendar!

I just chose my selections for the calendar. It was a bit confusing to me because I kept expecting to see a FINAL Submit button and so I kept changing some that I had duplicates for some months. I finally realized that all I needed to do once I'd saved my selections was to click at the top of the page to leave that area. It was a blonde duh moment, for sure. I thought I should share that because others may wonder the same thing.

The photos this year were SPECTACULAR!! I had a really hard time picking a favorite some categories. I don't even worry about the months. That is up to someone else to decide on where they go on the calender...thank goodness!

I never got to all of the categories, so I will have to go back if possible and at least look at the entries. Several of the ones I did select are finalist though.
