just beautiful, thanks so very much for sharing your pictures and the garden. I am glad I saw this. you have inspired me further.

I've got that first Vanda, but that second one is great. Wouldn't mind having one of them too. Do you know the name of the first one?

Blackshear, GA

Actually, if you look closely, it is two different vandas in the first photo. I will look, but most I do not know the names of them. I have about 15-18.

that yellow one is beautiful.

The first two (purples) I do not have a name for them, but the yellow is Ascocenda 'yanisha gold'. I bought most of mine at Godwinorchids.com. Not sure if you can order online, I bought mine there at their house.

I don't think I am going to attemp orchids.

Blackshear, GA

Actually, they are very easy. Light is the key to getting them to bloom, other than that, they are pretty easy.

my MIL grows them and they do great for her. I just have too many plants to tend to an orchid. May be someday....

But they require less upkeep, just give them good light and water once a week with a light dose of fert. and they are happy. Come on give it a try, phals. (moth orchid) will bloom 2-3 times a year and the buds will stay on there several weeks. They are well worth it.

Here are a few others of mine...( I have over 200)
