Paperfolding forum?

(Daniel) Mount Orab, OH(Zone 6b)

Origami Forum to be specific. I know that there are quite a few people in this world that enjoy paperfolding to some extent, I being one of them. What do you think?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

There is a "Scrapbooking and Paper Crafts" forum... granted, it's more scrapbooks & cards than other crafts, but I do see a thread on quilling and another on paper lanterns on the first page...

That might be a good place to try some threads on origami, see if there's enough interest to warrant a separate forum. Threads on origami would definitely make me add that forum to my list of watched/favorite forums.. I'm not much of a scrapbooker. :-)

I am going there now!

DMGardner, are you talking about showing (teaching) us how, or just showing different things? Or both? I have always been fascinated by it and have never tried it beyond paper airplanes as kids. LOL, WHAT?? What do you mean that doesn't count?

Really, I think it would be fun.

I think that this new forum would showcase and demonstrate Origami. I don't think I know enough to be a "teacher", but I can do some (about 15) projects very well, so I could teach only the newest of the newbies;)

Jnette, Paper airplanes do count in my book!

Ok, count me in. Jeanette

I look forward to seeing you there, if it comes!

If you start any origami threads in the "scrapbooking & paper crafts" forum, please put a link on this thread! :-)

DM, guess what Jill is telling you is that there isn't going to be enough interest for there to be a forum of it's own. Maybe,

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

No, I'm saying that the best way to get some interest going and then see about making a forum just for paper folding might be to start some threads on the topic in another forum -- and "paper crafts" sounds like an appropriate place.

I'm also saying that I don't generally hang out in that forum right now, because it's mostly scrapbooking at present, but if some threads on origami get started there I don't want to miss them!

OK DM, Jill (Critter) knows how the forums work better than I do. She has some good suggestions. I will keep an eye out for the oragami or paper folding. I am not into scrapbooking. I know it is very popular.
