Elizabeth
Dorthea Blooming in the Greenhouse
Beautiful! Look how long those tendrils are! Will she darken up, Elizabeth?
Dee
Dee
I sure hope sooo, it might have to be next spring for her to darken up, I am saving the Pic of Kaitlyn till we need another thread, it's pink also
Elizabeth
Charlene
they look really healthy, good job girl
Elizabeth
I bet Kaityn is beautiful too. Aren't they all?...lol I am thinking about trying to start a grouping of brugs with the girl's names, but I will work on that next year.I found out that there is one named Sarah, but I haven't heard anyone mention it. That's my oldest daughter, then Elizabeth, of course..lol...and Misty. My youngest grandsons name is Morgan, so I may have to work on getting Morgensen too..lol.
Dee
Charleen, those are some nice looking cuttings!
Dee
Really pretty Elizabeth!
Those tendrils are awesome!
Karen
You know I'm holding my breath. I hope they make it.
Elizabeth, did you see those Calla bulbs? they got so
big when I put them in the flowerbed.
Dee, If you want to send me little pieces of that grass I can
try it. Want a piece of my lavendar?
charleen
Isn't there a brug that has curling tendrils?
Seems like I've seen one somewhere.
Charleen
Charleen,do you know what kind of grass you have? I'm wondering if it would be hardy here. Why don't you wait for yours to get a little bigger to send me some, maybe next spring. That's when I will send you any of the grasses that I mentioned. It's the best time to divide. I could go ahead now and send you a hunk of the maiden grass cause we just dug a big one out. I replaced it with one of the hollies. If it doesn't make it, I can always send you more in the Spring. I'll find a link for you to see what it looks like.
Dee
Charleen, click on this link to see some pics.

oooooooo, Mine is very similar to that.
Only kind of lavender. It is pretty. do you want a white Calla lily?
Charleen
Thanks, for the offer, Charleen, but I don't need anymore plants that aren't hardy....I have the house full of brug cuttings and tropicals, now...and the basement full of geraniums, and lantana..lol.
I tell you what, come Spring, you are gonna have so many brugs that you won't know what to do...lol..Between the ones you have bought, and the ones Elizabeth cut off, to make her standards, and all the ones that I have two of, that I am planning on sending to you...you are gonna have a brug paradise....We all will...yeehaww!
Dee
Karen
hey girl it's good to see you, thanks, if you don't have Dorthea, we can fix that
Hugs
Elizabeth
What I meant to say was I don't need anymore plants that aren't hardy, but Brugs..lol
Dee
There we go posting at the same time again..lol
Dee
Girls
I thought I had lost arborea, but I looked & it has some green growth, on it, that's the Brug that everyone crosses to get some real beauty's
Elizabeth
I now, I hope these babies maKE it.
I'm going to mix up some of that recipe.
Do they just stir it or blend it in a blender?
Charleen
Dee
no worry's we do that all the time, that means we're glad to see each other
Elizabeth
Maybe you need some Recipe, Elizabeth.
Just like on the Walton's. ^_^
Charleen
Chaelene
sounds like a plan to me, you go girl
Elizabeth
Charlene
I have the recipe, just have to mix it up
Elizabeth
I am not sure Charleen.Maybe Ken will come back and tell us. And I am not sure, if they dilute it further with water, before spraying it on...I have been reading so much about brugs that I wouldn't do anything without double checking. It's all swirling together in my brain...lol
Dee
I guess we are both going to be making it.
Do you have ALL the ingedients?
I have most of it. But Ken said it would work with
The water, beer, ammonia, Epson Salts, Molasses,
So that is what I am going to use.
Charleen
Elizabeth, I'm glad that your arborea is showing signs of life. I know that you want to start making your own crosses.
Dee
I know that is right. We are afraid to do
anything cause we want them to live so much.
charleen
Want me to ask George if he has it?
I plan on trying the recipe, as soon as I make it to the grocery store. His cuttings look wonderful!
Dee
Where did you get your start Elizabeth?. Can we send out a
Wanted list to get it?
Charleen
Charlene
I got my start from a 5ft tree, that my best friend she didn't want to dig it up, so she gave it to me, she is amazed how I just took off & ennded up with so many, her name is mary kay, so I gave her maryK for her mothers day gift, & her dog is brandy so i gave her that one just because
Elizabeth
Charlene
the year before my BF had that one, I had seen one at a high price GH they wanted $179.00 for the same thing my BF had, I wouldn't pay that price for it, that's what got me started with Brugs, seems like a lifetime ago
Elizabeth
So you can get another start easy?
I found it as Brug used as a plant to create seeds?
these plants are so dog gone interesting.
charleen
Charlene
I have a good friend, that sent me sooo many Brug seeds, that it will keep me busy for a whole year, but the thing about seeds, they don't come true to the parents, you never know what you're going to get
Elizabeth
the Man that I got all these starts from. Grows some of his from seeds. He says if he plants them and they come out white, he tosses them out. I don't think I could do that Elizabeth. Do you throw them away?
charleen
Charlene
some of them are worth keeping, some aren't, it depends on how well they do, I have one in the ground, either it makes it or not, I can see why he throws them away
Elizabeth
What happened to Dee has she left us?
Elizabeth
I wish you could have seen them, Elizabeth.
He had one way back in the corner and I am going to get it next summer. It was a pale white, I thought but he said it was pink. the shrub was just loaded with blooms . all open at once. It was a pretty thing. I can still see it. Isn't it strange how some things just stick in your mind. That was a true beauty.
Charleen
I was thinking that too.
where did she roam off to?
She'll be back before long.
Charleen
No, I'm here...I am feeding my face...a very late supper at the computer...lol
Dee
