Dave, is it possible to try out the countdown now by using it for the number of hours left for judging? Is it possible to put it in the 'Voting is open...' box on the homepage?

Well, I'm proud to say I managed to get finished voting in every category. I barely made it through half of them last year. Taking a few categories each day really worked out well.


I have to say also that the photos that were submitted were awesome and very hard to pick just 3 favorites in some categories. My hat's off to all of the Dave's Garden photographers!

victorgardener, the voting ends "sometime in the morning" and it's a partially manual process for me to stop the voting and tabulate the results. So a countdown wouldn't work.

Don't worry, though. Next year's countdown will function correctly.

Crappola I'm DOOMED. Only 3 sleeps left and I'm still stuck on Birds. I still have 9 favs and that was with brutal cuts :(

I too had the hardesr decisions to make in the Birds category. Fortunately, I completed long ago.
