gift subscriptions?

is there a way to send a gift subscription to someone who has not signed on to the site at all?

I have a young mother in mind who doesn't have the money to join. Her husband does handyman chores for me, and I would like to get them a subscription for a holiday gift. Just the recipe forum alone would be a big help to her. I have given her a lot of perennials the last couple years, and she is also getting interested in veggie gardening. I think she would love Dave's.

Would she have to sign on as non paying and then I would pay for a full subscription for her?

there is a way; I have done this for a friend and a sister.

I dmailed admin and they helped me through the process.

You can sign her up. Log out, and register her with a username and her email address. If she does not like her username after she logs in, we'll be happy to make a one time name change for her. After the registration is successful, log back into your own account and follow the link under the My Info tab at the top of the page to purchase a gift subscription.
