Notify at our regular email addy that we have dmail?

Is it possible to set a notify feature so that when we receive Dmail we will receive a notification on our regular email?
I have to admit that I usually only come to the Dave's Garden website when I have something specific I need information about. (I'd rather spend time out IN my garden, than READING ABOUT gardening, if I can help it. :-)
So I forget all about coming back to check on my dmail. I offered to buy something from someone in the classifieds and I'm sure they now think I'm a total flake since it took me forever to remember to come back and see if they replied to me.
I participate in various forums on the web and virtually all of them have a feature that allows me to be notified if I subscribe to a thread or opt to allow email. Would it be possible to implement that on dg?

After a few days I always get a notice from DG that
I have unread Dmail. I'd want more frequent notices
to be an opt-in only feature since the last thing I need is
my email cluttered with more stuff.

You should be getting emails now if you have dmails that you haven't read in a day or two (I'm not sure exactly what the timeframe is...maybe 48 hrs?). If you're not getting the emails, then I suspect that either you don't have the correct email address on file here (go to "my info" to check what's on file), or the messages from DG are getting filtered out as spam.

It's 48 hours from the time the message is received in your dmail inbox; if you haven't opened it (or if you did, but then marked it unread), the system will sent you an "unread message" notice to your email addy.
