Chicken fajitas with peppers and refritos, beet leaf and spinach salad.
What's for dinner?
We had sandwiches. We got back late from a horse show.
Takeout----too tired to cook after cooking at church all day! I only had soup & a salad---too tired to eat.
Take out. I was working all day cleaning out the garage. Still not done.
Grilled sword fish, rice pilaf, carrots and cabbage on thursday night, one of Justin's favorites. Vanilla Ice cream w/chocolate sauce.
Chicken fingers, cucumbers and pasta salad last night, another of his favs. lol Sherbert for dessert, his throat is alittle sore so we've been eating alot of ice cream, sherbert, and popcycles!!
Meatlaof, mashed potaoes, biscuits and pea's tonight. Butterscotch pudding for dessert.
My goodness, I'm going to Pixies for dinner from now on.
We ate breakfast out. Had a huge meal, and neither of us are hungry tonight, although Russ is wanting some cake.
I'm done with the garage! I thought it was an impossible endeavor, but I did it in ONE DAY!!!! I'm so proud of myself.
Congrats!! Please come over and do mine now. I've been 'getting to it' for over a year now.
Thanks Victor, but yours doesn't count. Last time I was there, your car was parked in it. Mine was A LOT worse!
Yes, mine is a disaster at the periphery. Two cars reside in there.
Mine's a 2 car and it will never see a car in there again. Too much stuff!
I took 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, one soup can of water, one packet of lipton dry onion soup mix. I mixed them all together in a crock pot, dropped a piece of beef in and set on low at 6 this morning. It breaks apart with a fork!! Need to go fix some noodles or something to go with it, can't wait!!
I'm packing my bags Celeste. I'm living with you from now on!
Get in line, Harp!
No way. I'm going now. You all can fight me!
You need to finish your garage!
Celeste, that's how I make it too. YUMMY!
LOL you guys are too funny!! DH just had seconds, he didn't need it.... but it was a compliment. ^_^
Jen, great minds think alike? lol

DH made chicken with parsley potatos and spinach. Glad he likes to cook!
Florentine pizza & salad---yours sounds much better, Pixie!
My garage is finished for now. EXCEPT I was going to repair a little hole a rat made in the garage door when I stuck my finger through a soft spot... and then my hand... and then my arm.
In the last two weeks: My roof leaked all over the garage (no surprise about the soft spot in the door), the car needed a new catalytic converter, the washing machine needs a new part, the vacuum broke and a window broke. Now the garage door... when it rains, it pours!! I feel grateful that all these things, especially the entire roof, have been or are about to be repaired. I did a very ugly but serviceable patch job on the door that'll have to do until I'm employed and will either replace the entire door, or just the bottom quarter... Urgh!
Okay. Thanks for letting me rant.
Hot dogs and macaroni and cheese for dinner tonight. DH is cooking.
Sorry to hear about your rotten run of luck, Harp!
That hole looks like a bat flew through it!
Hey, yeah, it does! Neato. Thanks Victor. Anybody know if Mercury is in retrograde or anything like that? This is unusual here. I hope my luck is strong in the job market. A head hunter called me for a carpet job. I'm hoping I'll get the job they're calling about!!! Fingers crossed.
Jeez, I keep hijacking this thread. Dinner's not done yet. I'm chewing my arm off.
Good luck, Harp! Found a hand-written thing in my mailbox yesterday. Was someone looking for a housekeeping job. Tough out there.
Ouch. Oh, that's sad.
What kind of work do you do, Harper?
That does sound like a years worth of bad luck. And does it ever happen when we have extra money? NOOOOOOOOO
I design area rugs.
Well, isn't that a cool job! And who makes the rugs? You do that also?
No. Usually they're sent to a huge factory or a mill somewhere across the ocean. It is a cool job. Thanks Polly! There's so much other stuff I want to do too.
Probably in China.
I think that's very intresting, and exciting. I would love to see pictures if you would like to show them sometime.
Frequently in China. Also, the Philipines, Egypt, India, and some still even in England and France. There's a few mills here in the states, but would you be surprised if I told you that they are expensive here and it would be cheaper to have your rug made across the seas?
Still no dinner yet.... I'm starting on my other arm.
Okay, I'll see what I can do Polly.
Do you have a website, or work for a company?
Nope. Neither. I just got laid off from a carpet company and haven't ever made a website. I don't know how.
Harper, my DIL's cousin designed rugs for a small shop right next to us in Litchfield! You're only the second person I know who's done that! She quit last year to take care of her baby. Her husband works on the Alaskan pipeline---3 weeks on, 3 off----long commute from CT to Alaska!
I'll say, about the commute! Wow, another rug designer!
Wow!
I'm making roast chicken - never cooked a whole chicken before. Do I have to stuff it, or is that optional?
Don't have to.
