It's Fall in New England #3
How do you set up those great waterfall pics, Victor?
Love the 9W bridge. Some shots are so big they look surreal!
great shots boojum - you too victor:)
koto doe slook great!
GREAT pics Booj and Victor.
Those cows probably thought you had food.
Love the train and waterfall shots.
That spot where I want the JM is morning sun till about 1pm.
I think you are right about the cows, but it was more fun to think that they wanted to be in the picture!
Thanks.
Kathy - for the waterfall shots, a tripod is really the best way to go. I did not have one so I just set the camera on the ground or on a rock or something. Long exposure - anywhere from a 1/10 of a second to a few seconds. Dark conditions are best or you will need a filter to block light. Tough part is minimizing shake - I messed up a number of shots. I forgot how to do the timer - that would have been the way to go. Or else a remote shutter release. Just your finger releasing the shutter can ruin the shot.
Sounds ideal for a JM, Jen.
wow were you guys busy today... great shots all
Boojum
Cows are not too bright. They are curious and yes those look like "Brown Swiss" or "Jersies" (from the Jersey Islands)
I love cows.
Victor and Kathy all pics are wonderful.
I always wanted to live in a barn. All that space for a studio.
Wow - they are looking for a small plane that witnesses say crashed in Harriman park last night - right in the area where I took many of these pics!
WOW is right .
Must be another pilot wanna-be. got lost.Do ya think?
Its amazing how little training it takes to get people in the air,
hunting with guns,
on a boat,
on a jet ski etc.
Just because they can afford the equipment doesnt mean they have a clue as to how to use it. JFK jr. case in point
GF was on Nantucket with rich guys who had a big sail boat.
This was a completely computerized boat, all he had to do wan
s tap a few keys and said to everyone on board "I'm sailing now"
She told me the story and we both laughed so hard we nearly choked.
OOOO Victor
That is a beauty.
Your eye for scene and composition is wonderful.
Thanks, Jo. There was another plane crash in the park in the 70's. A large jet. Scary!
I'm painting today and missed the news.
I'm up from "the pit" for lunch and to let paper dry and will check it out.
Beautiful!!!! I love when the yellow and orange leaves change the light all together.
