D-mail problem

I am having a problem with losing d-mails. Someone d-mailed me this morning and then went I went back in to reply, I could not find the d-mail then when I did a search for it, it could not be found. The new ones should be right at the top, correct? This is the second time this has happened but with a different member.

Maybe you deleted it? Or moved it into another tab? Have you checked all of those?

I didn't delete it but it was in the deleted file. If it happens again, I'll now know what to do. Thank you.
