Is it my computer or are you making format changes?

(Zone 1)

I just logged on for the first time today and I'm liking the very large headings at the top of the pages and the underlining as well! I haven't changed any of my settings so I'm assuming everyone is seeing this?

I don't see anything different from here...

I don't see what you are describing so must be your computer. Glad you like it. Normally when my computer makes changes on it's own, I don't like them. LOL

If you have a wheel mouse, you can inadvertantly make changes like that if you happen to have a finger on a key (Alt or Ctrl for example) while scrolling.

(Zone 1)

hmm ... I haven't made any changes on my settings on DG or on my computer. I like what I'm seeing though. On my home page the lettering is very large and very dark black that says "Welcome Home Plantladylin". Each thread topic, i.e. at the top of this thread where it reads Daves Garden: Is it my computer or are you making format changes .. That shows up really huge and very bold dark black print as well. And each person's user name on the left of the screen is underlined. Also on my home page, each thread that I'm watching is underlined.

Anyhow, I will watch and see if it changes again, although I like the looks of it.

Mine is not like that either. BEV

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

I can change all the font to larger or smaller, even the posts, with the mouse scroll and Ctrl key but don't understand how she got the underlined parts and just the heading large and bold, very odd .

I'm on my laptop now and there are no changes here ... same as usual, so it must have something to do with our desktop machine. I am computer and electronics illiterate so will have to ask my husband when he gets home.

Well, I shut down the desk top and then re-booted ... back to normal now!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Yahoo for reboot, works great far too many times!

Lin, that has happened to me when I accidently double click on something. Everything is underlined. A simple click of the refresh button fixes it though if it ever happens to you again.

(Zone 1)

Thanks ThreeG! I double click all the time so maybe that is what happened! It seems to be back to the normal, although I did like the "new" look for the short time it was there. ^_^ Everything was underlined and the heading at the top of every page was huge, bold black letters. It wasn't a problem, just "different", LOL.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Now if you could figure out how to make the photos "big and bold" you would be a computer genius to me Lin....grin

(Zone 1)

LOL, I am so computer illiterate ... if it were to happen that pic's all of a sudden showed up big & bold, and screen sized, I would have no earthly idea how to keep em' that way, and it sure would be nice! ^_^

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I might actually be able to see what I think i see....lol might make for a better ID rate for me anyhow. Sometimes I read all about the leaf shape and serrations, etc and even though I look at the pic a dozen times I am still thinking "Huh? Where?"

I even tried one of full page magnifiers....doesn't work very well with CPU screen....unless those plants are supposed to have zig-zaggy wavy stems and big ovoid flowers.....lol

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I think the answer lies in getting a bigger monitor ;o)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Either that or bigger glasses....grin...if I could haul the PC into the green house I wouldn't have as much trouble seeing details, but DH just can't see running cables to the greenhouse....says that is why he got me the laptop....I think he just got tired of me bumping him off a dozen times to look at Plant Files....lol
