Picket fencing on slope

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Have posted photos on Garden Design forum seeking input on my rebuilding project on back yard. Probably should have posted it here.

I think I want vinyl white picket fencing instead of painted wood because the painted wood railings on our front porch are high maintenance, especially in the winter with crudy mildew or air pollution (??) settling on it. Have to hand wash it with chlorine beach solution to keep it white. Don't want 200 feet of white fence I have to wash or repaint frequently. Does vinyl fencing perform better than painted wood in humid conditions?

The main problem I see using vinyl fence panels is our entire yard is a slope, up, down and sideways. LOL. Nothing flat. The style fencing I like best is scalloped top and wide pickets but assume that would not look right on a slope; having to drop every 8' panel down another 6 to 10 inches would defeat the scalloped line. My head is spinning with decisions, decisions.

Please tell me about picket fencing on a slope. Anyone with pictures, please show me.

Thanks.

D.. I have a vinyl picket fence put in 2007. There is a step down right at the gate. Maybe you can see it in the picture. There are also areas where the bottom of the fence is not at the same level leval, in those areas I added more soil an placed small flower beds.
The vinyl will get dirty over time and can be hosed off or power washed.

If you'll go to the thread "Cottage garden or not?" down below, you will see a pic of a picket fence submitted by Highmtn which shows how they dealt with a slight slope. I think they did a beautiful job. I don't know whether it's vinyl or wood. Hard to tell but it really looks nice.

I went the homemade wood route since I really couldn't afford the vinyl. I haven't painted it yet but plan to paint it white. I told the guy who built it for me that I didn't care if it wasn't perfect because the imperfection was what made it look primitive and "cottagey." One side of my house is fairly level but the other side is a hefty slope. Here's what the sloped side looks like.
