I just put together my garden layout on a spreadsheet program, and I'd like to get it into my Gardening Blog so I can actually find it when I need it. Is there a way to attach a file to an entry? I tried to copy and paste, but lost all my formatting so my square foot layout was totally lost.
Thanks for any help!
Jill
Attaching files to my Gardening Blog?
I think it's just like the rest of DG where all you can upload are picture files. If your program that you did the layout in won't let you save it as a picture file, you can always use the "print screen" key on you keyboard to do a screen capture and paste it into Paint and save it as a picture. Or if the spreadsheet program you used was Excel, instead of doing a normal copy, hold down the shift key, then go to the edit menu and you'll see an option that says "copy as picture", that will preserve your formatting and you can paste it into a picture program and it'll look just the way it does on your screen in Excel.
Thanks for the suggestions, ecrane! I actually use OpenOffice Calc, which is almost exactly like Excel--except it won't let me copy things as pictures (and it's free, but that's another issue!). I can see I just need to get creative!
The print screen to do screen capture will work on any PC regardless of what software you were using.
