Looks like it is time for a new thread....
Gypsies Go, Rain or Snow
Oh, that's beautiful!!!
Thanks, Venice. That is crinum americanum, swamp lily.
I don't think I'll tell ages....grin discretion and valor and all that good stuff....grin
Hi Jean!
So that's a close-up of the native. Is it indigenous in your area?
Yes Sir....so much so it often gets treated as a weed. I think it is one of the only running crinums
Nice swap! Very elegant weed
Well, ya know how it goes, One man's weed is another's rose.....grin. Thanks Venice
I don't mind telling my age but you'll never see a picture!!! LOL
Like the lily moon. You have such pretty flowers.
Think its time to goodnight, so I can do it all again tomorrow.
Stay warm and dry and safe everyone.
JJ, night and hope you keep warm!
I have extras Dave. You are welcome to seed or plant either one....I swap ya for a red one...grin
Night JJs...rest well, drive carefully tomorrow.
Moon, that would be a really good deal! For you!!
Night and sweet dreams!
Yep! Grin. G'Night Venice, rest well. Catch ya tomorrow.
That whole pink thing must be one blossom. Is it one blossom per plant?
Does it have seeds?
That is somewhere around 20 or so blooms on a single stalk.
Hey Jean, I have several types: C. asiaticum, C. asiaticum var. 'Traubii' (the "red one"), C.augustum, & C. x powellii starts I could dig up. They would grow in your area.
Had to look one more time.
Wow Dave even I want one of those!!! But not in the house, do you think it will like snow.LOL
OK off I go with red and white flowers to dream of with sunshine and temps over 40.
I'll be snug as a bug in a rug.
Nite All
ROFLOL,
OMG, You dance about faster then anyone I know!
Still laughing here.
Anyway, Wanted to say hello to you. Been telling my new SIL about ya.
It's going to take a bit to catch up to what you all have been up to.
Missed you, and hope all is well.
see you!
Oh Hey, I am excited to tell you...
Woohooowee! We grew Soil!!! It gorgeous, loose, soft, and sooo beautiful to see.
LOL, there see I knew I could grow something, just giggling with pride for my first compost!
Hope you are all well this night too,
see ya again.
JJ, I know you will have those sweet dreams tonight!
Appreciate that Dave, I have Asiaticum and powellii and somewhere out there C. zeylanicum (milk and wine).
I would love a start of augustum and Traubii and will be happy to share any I have.....
Hey JJ, they could survive as a greenhouse plant in your area. They like to be warm & have lots of water. Naturally, Crinums are wetland plants.
I'll go get some photos of what is here right now.
Seed, congratulations on your new soil!!!! Night! Stay warm up there!
Hey hey, Seed. Good on you....compost is always a good thing to be able to make....grin Sounds like a good visit with your brother and NEW SIL....grin

Night Seed...too welcome and good to see ya as always....rest well.

Talk later all have a nice day.
Good morning all !! Just popped in long enough to wish every one a wonderful day. Catch up with yall later. Hi,Ho-Hi,Ho its off to work I go. Sure would be nice to be independently wealthy. Grin.
Wouldn't it, Dixie??
Coffee break time. Good morning all. Touched base with Lynnie, her FIL had a bit of a set back. Seems he incurred a few more injuries than they were aware of....some broken ribs and bruising....they were at the hospital all weekend and Lynnie stayed with her FIL most of the time. Remember him please in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Everybody have a great day....workin' like a bunch of bees....grin
