This Brewers Blackbird looked pretty on the branch.
I loved her soft brown coloring.
We went on a guided bird walk in a private reserve, but I think we had more birds at our house than here. We did see several hawks, but they were soaring in the thermals and didn't come very close to us.
This was a Red-shouldered Hawk.
This was a beautiful Red-tailed Hawk.
This Bald Eagle was doing a fly-by at our house when we got home.
The Northern Flickers are here all year
Not a great shot, but the wings of the Flicker are so colorful. This one was enjoying the fruit on the persimmon trees.
