I love the Field Sparrow...such a sweet and shy little bird.

This shows the pretty little eye ring that gives them such an innocent look.

This is one of the brat Mockingbirds that scared off the Waxwings.

Thanks, everyone. Still having Bunting withdrawal here.....I have seen the Yellow-rumpedWarbler around, but so far no Indigo or Painted Buntings.

In EWA the white crowned sparrows are traveling through in abundance right now and the sandhill cranes are on their way South with stopovers here in the mown corn fields. Unfortunately,, too much wind to get out for pictures.

Gorgeous birdies Rose. The Cedar Waxwing is exquisite.
