Wow ...that last thread was fabulous. Thanks to Gary and all that posted some nice pics!

The Northern Cardinal is truly a bird for all seasons. It is one the first to start singing in the spring. It is often one of the first to show up with young at the feeders. It is also one of the last to be still raising young into September. And, those of us that get to enjoy them know that nothing looks as pretty in fresh snow as a beautiful bright red male Northern Cardinal!
So here are some 'fall' Cardinals!
DAILY PICS VOL. #246
Nice pics nanny! Thanks for starting the new thread!
nanny, I've been seeing lots of redbirds, too. Their red is about as pretty as it has ever been this summer.
Back to the previous thread - Gary, its my first time seeing a Spruce Goose, is it as large as it looks?
Hey, Lily, with all the rain we've been having, I'd expect to see a lot of ducks, huh? :)
Hack
That looks so peaceful and relaxing.
He's adorable!! Great shots!!
oh...a Barred Owl...YEAH!! That first shot is cute!
Nice Barred Owl, Panamon. Great catch. The N. Geographic Field Guide says: "Easily flushed; does not generally tolerate close approach."
I'm glad that this Barred didn't read the Field Guide and let me come close enough to get some shots with my macro lens.
Possibly a juvenile that was hungry since he was rather active at mid day which helped me spot him. Will try to find him again tomorrow with a more appropriate lens.
Beautiful Moorhen 3g's!
Love the Owl PC! He is gorgeous.
Beautiful pics Met!
Thanks for the new thread Nanny. Lovely Cardinals.
How fortunate to see an owl in the daylight Panamon. Wonderful bird.
Cute Moorhen, TG.
Wonderful shots of the Brown Creeper, Al.
After reading the links that Al posted two or three threads back, I've been practicing flight shots of anything that passes within my vision. This afternoon it was a small flock of Pacific Black Ducks.

Good shot of the ducks, Margaret. I need to work on my flight shots, too.
Went birding at Lake Overholser in OK County yesterday and saw about 150 White Pelicans, but they were in the middle of the lake so couldn't get a close shot. Also saw American Avocets, a Black-necked stilt, lots of shorebirds and Turkey Vultures were on the mud flats looking for fish carrion.
Maybe those links could be added to the sticky??? I must have missed them somehow...
Because we all know I could use some help there!!
Very nice Margaret!
I got caught up watching the Carolina Chickadees feeding the other day. They were just sooo busy, busy , busy!

Margaret, that last duck shot is awesome. I try to practice on the moving birds also, but it's certainly a challenge. You need to be in the open, by the time I focus on them there is a tree or power line in the way. Here is a shot I got this morning of two Grackles sitting on the line as a Delta rocket was launched from the Cape.
Gardenpom, that's an awesome photo of the rocket and the Grackles!
Reddirt, great shot of the gobblers! Hope they make it past Thanksgiving. Great shot of the pelicans too. We just saw 16 here yesterday, but expect far more soon.
Nanny, love your little Chickadees!
Margaret, great pictures of the ducks!
We took our boat out on our lake (Clear Lake) yesterday and I was able to photograph 2 new birds that were not only a first for me, but very rare sightings on our lake according to our Audubon people. Woohoo!!
The photos weren't great because I took them at a distance and from a moving boat, but this is a Least Bittern.
