Jim, in your box today I put what I thought was this plant. When I looked tonight I realized I had cut from Bristol's blue Water.........so when you come across an unmarked strep leaf, she is really Neil's Strawberry which I am sure you already have.

Your orchid is a paphiopedilum, a terrestrial, which means they like a little more moisture and finer mix than most thick rooted orchids like phals. They do not like to dry out. When you are ready to repot you can use promix with a little extra perlite. Feed it weakly weekly at half strength or even less. They do well in the same light as you give your streps/violets. She's beautiful!!!
Why thank you so much for your help with the orchid. It looks like it is in no soil but but bark.... I will see if it lives a few days then if it does I will repot it...LOL Thanks again...

She is mad (LOL) that I bought it...........she doesn't know how to relist and put the number of lots offered. Still smiling!! She has a lot I don't have! And.........besides Connie and I are going to do some experimenting by starting strep leaves in just perlite like www.streptocarpus.com says she does it.
She still hasn't sent me an invoice......not sure she knows how (hi Susan)

Well, you could go to the meetings, and just drop an empty beer can in the trash outside the door? You could change the meaning of words . . . I haven't had a drink for 2 weeks could be - I haven't bought any AV leaves for 2 weeks . . . etc . . . ^_^

Played hooky from work today...LOL I went then looked at my boss and said I have to go back home I feel like I am going to puke...LOL
Let me tell all of you before you go and register at the 12 step program... I have been to so many and they just look at me like I am crazy... I even brought a strep and tossed it in the garbage in front of them and they still did not understand why I wanted a 12 step program.. Like hello I am an addict... ^_^

I can't believe I am going to plant up every single cross from Goldleaf's seeds she sent. But............there are some really nice blooms for first blooms so I think it is worth it to find one that Goldleaf can name and register it..........first blooms are never as pretty as they get later and these are magnificent blooms.
Oh my goodness......I just need more space under lights........
I was just going to throw these seed ones away......but now I can't after seeing some of them blooms.....so will put these in tiny pots today and see what happens with more blooms..........I think she crossed Azure Giant with one of the Iced Pink streps.........thus, every single center of a bloom so far as a yellow center......

I can see that happening! I would go a little further and take a look at the syringes (not the needles!) They might be good for watering in little tight spaces. Hmmmmm (thinking) :)
