They're all beautiful, Bonnie! My favorites are Sinn. aggregata, Sinn. 'Ozark Orange Sherbet', and Sinn. 'Delta Fox' that you posted on the other thread. I love orange Sinns!

As I was pulling out the big plant of Watermelon Wine that Goldleaf sent to me (she sent me a crown), the bloom fell off, but check her out. What a winner!

ok we arent following the rules,we show 3 photos of streps then maybe one violet,, we need lots more streps to be shown,

here is my baby Museum of Art , I am so excited to have made a baby that is now blooming :) and it is bigger than it's mama , that part i don't get but i am happy to have been able to get it big enough to bloom :)

Here is another bloom from Goldleaf's cross. Remember the other was a pretty purple. They all seem to have a yellow center. I think it is because one of the parents is Azure Giant.
Can anyone tell my why this is happening to this violet? Any suggestions on what to do to fix it?
Give me time to go through my books about the yellow edges..........be back

Lack of potassium can cause outside edges of leaves to turn yellow,starting with older leaves.

When I get through packing a big box.......I am going to copy directly the steps before a show............from 'Growing to Show'..........the box has to go out in the am......

I just talked to marjorie..........she told me that yellowing on the edges of an otherwise healthy looking plant is most likely due to too high ph on the water you are using. marjorie in CC uses all reverse osmosis water, but she had told me that Dale Martens and many others are using half tap and half RO. That is what I have been using for the last 6 months as my tap water is 7.8 ph.
I'll have to go check the ph again, then . . . 'cause I do use ph-down on the water I use, but maybe I need to add an extra drop or two.
I wish I understood what the ph-down method is........and if it works because I haul 15-17 gallons of reverse osmosis from the grocery store every week to mix half and half with tap water. It is only 25cents a gallon, but it is heavy........
