Thanks. For my older one, who is into sports, it was the game. For the little guy, it was the entire atmosphere, and his plush mascot! Can't say enough about how family and fan friendly it is. They open up an area called Black Knights Alley three hours before kickoff. They have games, face-painting, food, etc. They also have autograph sessions with some of the other cadet-athletes and demonstrations by regular army people. I am so impressed by these wonderful young people. They are intelligent, poised and genuinely friendly. And in the case of the cadets, this is on top of all the other pressures they have - schoolwork, physical and military training.

Here's a shot of some of the track and field team. They all signed a mini football and encouraged my older guy, who likes to run. They were impressed that he set his elementary school record for the 1/2 mile last year. They encouraged us to come and watch them compete - and we will!

Love the cake, Pixie.

OK.....Today we had the pleasant "job" of planting a whole bunch of new plants (great ones, I might add!) from our DG gathering and plant swap on Saturday. I planted 20 of them yesterday, and ran out of "full sun" areas, so we (and I do mean the Royal We!) solved that problem right away! LOL

Voila! a whole new section to my Friendship Garden!!!
