Wacky Link

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

How'd that happen?

How do I prevent it from happening again?

If you take the spaces out of the link, and post as-is, it auto-reads the ( ) in the link and makes the link inactive.

hmm.. puzzled non-IT mind wants to know.

I think there are some characters that make links go funny--you might try going to www.tinyurl.com and use that to generate a link that'll work better.

Well Ain't that just a nifty little booger..

Cool to use in the future, too.

Thanks!

An interesting thing to note is that only alphanumerics as well as the special characters "$-_.+!*'()," are valid for URLs. Thus, a space is invalid in a URL and any website with such a URL is practicing bad webmastering.

I didn't see a space in it - just the () seemed to be what threw it off originally...

Which is why I asked. I was confuzed! =)

Dave,

That was interesting but way over my head. I got to page 7 and quit. It's amazing how things were laid out back in 1994.

It's amazing you were able to put your hands on that. Anything that would be that old on my PC would be buried so deep that... well you get what I mean.

Thanks

Hap

Ahh, I see. Well, this is a TODO for me to adjust my code to allow parenthesis.
