If I had been paying attention to this thread, I would have not had to go to the id thread to know what my plant is. I have a large Late-flowering Boneset also allwild!

Isabella in front of my new peacock pens. She was right up against the pen but the new ones are 14 feet back so I can plant more plants between the pen and the pathway. They like it that way.

This one was named by our own Joan Cook of Tyler for her Granddaughter. It was a Brenda Delph seedling.

gorgeous plants kenboy, they are all late summer-fall bloomers? very nice.

Sheila, the Boneset is a nice wildflower I think!!

Hutchins, TX

Kenboy, I didn't know there was so many gingers they are amazing.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes most Gingers are Summer and Fall bloomers. i have been getting into Gingers for the last two years but have added at least 50 new ones this year alone. Next year I should have lots of pictures.

And they've attracted a visitor today. The big wasp that I've been trying to get an ID on for years. Finally, BugGuide got another request for ID for it...from the same county I live in, strangely enough. Although they knew it was a scoliid wasp, they had been unable to get the species on it because it's not even in the insect keys for the U.S. The other person (in Hondo, Texas area) had collected an actual wasp specimen, something I would never do...I might kill other kinds of wasps, but not this one. So, now it's ID'd as Campsomeris ephippeum...still no common name, but I'll just call it Corona de Cristo Wasp, because that is its favorite flower of all to nectar on!
