Dave, love f & g... I see actions like that, but can never hope to catch it in a picture. Frank the colors on that male are beautiful.

Glad you all have the Hummer's section taken care of. Wonderful shots as usual! My Hummer's are gone just like that. lol They hit it right on the nose. (Gone by Labor Day)

One from today. This bird was in no hurry. I say that because I had to open my camera bag, attach the lens, focus, then shoot. I guess she knew my slackazz was slow? LOL

One more and I really don't like this pic at all. I only saved it because it was different......

Also, my SE was 2 miles out on the Atlantic Ocean fishing last Friday, and he said a hummer hovered right in his face for about a minute!

This is a long shot across the yard high up. The hummer kept dipping into this tree at something he was interested in.

Last year I had the fall ones until October 6th or something like that. I just saw one on the mexican sunflower, but not at the feeders. Don't think they've found the agastache yet either!

Mine are using a lot of Trumpet vine, Monarda, Lantana and Honeysuckle along with the feeders. I have another male here keeping the others from the feeders. :-)

I refilled the feeder, and there is a female that has shown up. No pics though, but I moved the feeder from the patio to a tree.

We still have several Hummers and yesterday there were 3 mature males here all day. Here is one of them.

Here's the one I saw today. I was laying in the hammock (YES, really) and looking through the camera at a goldfinch that had landed on these flowers. Then I saw the hummingbird! So I snapped away. Pretty good for far away and laying in a hammock!

Very nice Marna. Here is one I happened to get yesterday while I was trying to shoot some bluebirds. He looked like he was going to land on the grass tassels, but they were blowing in the wind.

So he moved on. From about 65 feet. (no hammock.)

Pretty relaxing way for birding, Marna, you did a splendid job on it.

LOL. WELL! As I was telling Margaret. My plan was really not to photograph hummingbirds from the hammock. However, the female Redstart had been back to visit and I was trying to get a picture of her. Since she was up in the trees, I thought I'd best get under them and that I'd kind of hide in the hammock! I didn't fool her I guess.

I saw 3 ruby-throated hummers this A.M., and tried to take their pictures in the P.M.
One cooperated!
