kwan,
What a beautiful way to wake up! Bet you are still grinning! : - )
Well done, and before sun up too!
Do you ever sleep? You are just as bad as I am. LOL! Except I'm walking the dogs before the heat hits that early in the day (if I'm not sleeping).
Great photos of the hummers, but you know I love all of 'em.
Keep 'em coming!
I got more to add, and as soon as I cool down, I will start posting them.

Okay, I found where I left off. These photos were taken on the 25th of Aug.
I don't know who this one is. Looks pretty perched on the wire.

This hummer was being co operative. I had time to Zoom in with the telephoto. I do love the telephoto on this camera. ; - )
Need more practice though.

Looks like . . . Could it be? Sweetie Pie! Long time since I saw her. : - )
Was worried that a hawk got to her.

I took this next photo on the 28th (had the flu?). Not that I didn't go out and catch some fresh air and watch them. The weather did get hotter, so I have to get up early like kwan, or I have to catch them as I can throughout the day. Lately, I've mostly seen the hummers out in the garden, hanging out where it is shady, and there is plenty of forage.
Or I have seen them through the kitchen window, out in the fountain in the court yard. It's pretty neat to watch them.
Once in a while, when I am outside taking care of chores they fly up in my face to make sure it is me.
Still trying to get the hang of the new camera, but this next series is kind of interesting, if not necessarily pretty. Hang with me, talking about the clarity of the photos.
Frisky little hummer, faked me out. I was lucky to get this blurry photo.

This one is flying toward the gh.

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

This is the same hummer. It flew to the far end of the gh, and roosted on those wires.

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Looks like Sweetie Pie again. I wonder what she has been up to?

Does anyone else see the outline of a bird on this hummers chest? I love the telephoto.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

It's outlined in white! I think she is napping.

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Remember the one that flew to the other end of the gh. Well, here it is. Don't know why when the camera is on Auto and you Zoom it, the photos, come out looking grainy. Sigh. Must be wrong setting.

Here it is perched on the wire by the top of the banana.

Flew towards the door where I was parked, with my camera.

Perched on the wire again.

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Even with the fans going, it's still pretty warm in there. Perched and panting!

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

I don't know who this male is. Look at his feathers sticking up around his beak. He is taking advantage of the fan, he is near, and cooling off.

The other bird pretending to be a fairy light.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

This one perched on the wire, is half again as far from the other one that is perched on the power cord. A bit unusual but not unheard of.

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Please note the banana. During this time, if any other hummer dared poke his or her head in the door the ones already inside drove them off. Then they went back and perched in the same place.
I was really amused by their behavior, but intrigued that they kept returning to this perch or hovering right above the leaf to the right.

I think this may be Zippy. She was really chittering up a storm over by the banana, before she flew over to the cord.

Pretending to be a fairy light again.

Using the telephoto and cropping so you can see the hummer better.

Two hummer fairy lights! : - )

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Cropped this one too! Sure wish that one had showed his head.

This is one of the two that were perched by the banana pretending to be fairy lights. I don't recognize his/her markings. That white tail feather sticks out. Also s/he is also smaller than my regular hummer friends. The male was smaller too. Hmmm.

Another of the same hummer.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

From all the flying back and forth at the top of the gh, this hummer was really hungry.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Traded off with the other hummer. The first one perched, and this one moved into feed.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Who is this hummer?

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Same hummer. Closer up.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Going after the gnats?

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Sitting on the drip irrigation line, eyeing that feeder.

Another intruder? Or a regular. Just outside the gh.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

I liked this photo. There is something sweet and touching about it.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

More mad chases occurred, which were impossible to catch. Here is the winner, resting. BTW, at one point a third hummer, came from the top of the banana to help drive off the intruder.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Almost dark and the hummers are still in the gh. I don't know if you can see the hummer flying, it's just below the center of photo at about the 7:00 o'clock position.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Can you see the hummer now? It blends in really well with the ceiling bar but is in the center of photo.

Thumbnail by SingingWolf
Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Last one of that day (the 28th), I am watering late with the overhead lights on, and I still have company. I ended up closing the doors while the hummers were still in there. They can always fly out those vent openings, that never close. (The other ones never open.)
Was really surprised that it showed no desire to leave at dusk.
I need an ice cream break or a cold drink or both. Also need to move some water.
