Can't find forum to wish dragonfly62 well

Albany, ME(Zone 4b)

I was just reading a long series of posts wishing well to dragonfly62 who had a health crisis. But when I went back to HOME I couldn't figure out which forum I'd been in. I searched for dragonfly62 in both "Search DG" and "Search forums" no luck. I'm sure I have the name right, because we've been in correspondence and I checked my mail. What am I doing wrong?

You might try the prayers forum--that would be my first guess on where something like that would be. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/prayer/all/ The trouble with trying to do a forum search with someone's username is it'll probably pull up all sorts of threads they've posted to not just threads where others have mentioned them, so it would be really hard to dig through all the results and find the one you were looking for.

Is this it? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1029440/

Remember, you can see your own posts by clicking on "My Info" then look for the link to "view your own posts" - it will show them from newest to oldest and include the name of the thread. (If you've made a recent post, that can be the fastest way to re-locate it.)

Check the iris forum.

Terry and luvblueridgemtn, you both sent me to the correct forum (iris).

But to pursue the mystery of the search. There I was in the Iris forum, looking at a post by dragonfly62. I put dragonfly62 in "search forums" and got no hits. Then I emptied the "search for what" field and put "dragonfly62" in the "only posts by" field. Still no hits. What gives?

Did you put anything in the "What are you searching for?" field when you moved their username to the "Show only posts by the following user" field?

You have to put a word (at least 4 letters in length) or a phrase in the first field, or you won't get any results. (The other options simply allow you to narrow down your search to a particular forum, look for words in the body of the post OR the thread title, and specify a particular user who used that word or phrase.)

Learn something new every day. I've been searching for the co-op (which I did find) for Eon markers. I kept typing Eon in, and came up with no hits. I didn't know you needed more than three letters in the 'what are you searching for' area. I thought I was going nuts. (I probably still am, but not over this anymore). Thanks Terry.

Yeah, I wish the system would let you know what you're doing wrong (either as you type in your search term or if your search is less than 4 letters and it doesn't return any results)
