What I posted was only meant to be helpful information in getting a shipping order and a shipping list of names in some sort of order.
All I want to do is get this pass along going again in some sort of order without the confusion, as it started out. It was never suppose to be just sent to the next person "waving a hand". It goes to the next person who posted, unless they request otherwise.
If everyone has no objections here's the two shipping lists. Since we now have two boxes going this can be divided up in zones 7 & below, 8 and above.

I love suprises, houseplant, tropticals like bananas, elephant ears, double brugs., bromilaids (i know mispelled) even palms. I just love plants indoors or outdoors.
Girlgardener, I think today was your lucky day :) The name above yours is Heavenscent and she is a tropical plant lover. Her garden's last year were breathtaking beautiful! Full of tropicals and plants to attract butterflies & hummers.
I haven't had the chance to visit her gardens this year but I'd be willing to bet they are even prettier than last year. A photo from Caren's garden even appeared on the front cover of a yearly brugmamsia magazine a couple of years ago.

I got an email requesting that most don't want a time frame on shipping, nor a shipping list. They would rather this be an open trade.....sounds good to me. I've never seen it done this way before, but I'm for whatever works best for everyone on shipping & trading.
My guess is that you pick your partner to make a trade with. I'll leave that to someone else to explain.
The difficult thing about this whole thread is that it just kind-of "evolved" out of Cannagirl's initial offer. I would certainly not encourage anyone new to sign up unless everyone on the current list is taken care of and one of those last individuals is ready to pass on a box. But that's just my own opinion.
Cannagirl, I am inspired by your desire to give. You, among other DG members, have been amazingly generous to me (and to other members as well, I would assume), and it is what makes us keep wanting to grow stuff and share that stuff with others. And thank you so much for your care in seeing that new people posting on the thread aren't overlooked. I'm sure that was appreciated by more than just me!
Personally, I look forward to being able to share a box (or two, as it may turn out) of my humble collection of plants with some individuals that might make use of them. But after that, I'll probably not worry too much about what goes on here. I hope that doesn't bother anyone! It's not me trying to be self-serving, just thinking that this was a great project that was a huge success and is serving a purpose. All good things must come to an end. I'm not quite as well organized or attentive as Cannagirl.

I have had to drop out for unforeseen financial problems which will prevent me from mailing out anything. Cue_ knows and will send on past me . I have really enjoyed the excitement and good will sharing of this thread It seems a rarity thee days to see someone do for others just for the joy of giving. Since that is what this started all about my heart has been lifted.

I have some Hoyas bloomng now . One smells like butterscotch in the morning and around 5pm. I believe plantlady lin sent me that one and I was so hapy to receive it!! I sure hope that some up north will still get to enjoy this pleasure.

ok.. just too many darn hands in the cookie jar.
Im sending my box out Friday.. as far as i know its now going to aspenjocop... after that, ya'll do what ya want.. its far too confusing anymore... everything changes on a day to day basis... becoming no different than a plain old trade, which the majority of us can all set up thru regular dmails... kinda renders this whole thread pointless.
I noticed it was closed.. and no, there isnt alink to another one.. the thread sort of 'lost the plot' awhile back.

I for one am sending Canna a great big apology for getting her wonderful thoughtful idea so far off track...not pointing fingers...just suggesting there are but a few who shouldn't do the same...the more self rightous indignation you feel right now the more you might want to reread your threads...

Aspen, sorry I missed that.
I'd like to make sure that everyone, who has expressed interest, gets a box, if that's possible, then I'm calling it quits. But if others would like to let this go, I'm fine with that.
Canna is frustrated at how this has worked out. She and I have been talking about the situation & she closed it 'cause she is uncomfortable keeping it going. I think we can all agree it's gotten very confusing. I did email her and let her know that she's next on the list, but I don't know if she will respond. I feel very badly that her initial act of kindness has brought responsibility to her and that she feels responsible for hurt feelings.
Please understand, Canna never set out to make this an on-going thing. After she sent the first box out, she was done. Those of us who came afterwards were responsible for any agreements after that point. Unfortunately, she became the "go-to" person for complaints and frustration.
My hope is that this would end in a positive way, and that everyone (ESPECIALLY Canna) would walk away happy and satisfied & with renewed faith in their fellow-gardner.
Can we all work together to do what we can to make that happen?
When this first started, it was so simple. It had nothing to do with zones, likes, dislikes, weather or anything else. It was something that started by sending someone else a "gift". Somehow this has gotten lost along the way and it is such a shame. I think I will gracefully pull out of this along with cue as it has turned into trading instead of gifting.
Seems like cannagirl's good deed got hijacked!
