Allison, if there's any smashing this weekend I'll probably get it. It seems North Jersey gets the brunt of all the bad weather most of the time. I'll fight it and send it east to the UK!

Rama... very Nice!

Thanks Jo Ann, Debilu, Jumper, and Robin! Precious is definitely a precious kitty and I'm undoubtedly going to laugh every time I see that picture!

RC that kitty pic is wonderful. I love it!
Bill your fire pit looks like it is a great place to enjoy the garden, which as usual is looking good.
JoAnn your caladiums do not look bothered at all by the heat. Nice colors.
Found this guy clinging to the porch ceiling. He is about 2 inches long. I think the sun was too hot for him too.

Rama I think it is poke berry, aka weed, as kids we called them indian paint bushes because of the purple berry juice. http://www.altnature.com/gallery/pokeweed.htm

What a difference around your mailbox, great job.
JoAnn I like your wood pile area, very colorful for the end of summer season.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Its an area that cant take Perennials because we walk all over it to bring wood into the house.
Caladiums and annuals will be good for the area.
Next year I'll plant white calads and white impatiens

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks guys. Love the coleus ge.

Hi folks! Just back from vacation on Martha's Vineyard. I haven't been on the island since I was 16 and I was very happy to see that not much has changed (in a good way!). I wish I had taken more pictures of all the lovely flowers. Here are a few, the Rosa Rugosa was in bloom everywhere.
