I took out a third of a huge hydrangea and these are going in the space.
I like asters, but so do the deer.

Can you believe my front crapes are just showing buds now?!!! Well over a month behind. So weird. Same for all my varieties, sizes, etc. Yet they are in bloom for weeks in my area.
I have not posted a picture of my little guy in awhile. He is my best friend he is just so much company.

'Lavender Blue Baby' took 2 years to bloom, and it's blotchey to boot. Next year it had better have great blooms or it will find it's self a new home. ^_^
I forgot to take a picture of a newly planted lily for you to help me decide if it has that virus ... if it's not raining when I get home tomorrow I will do that
'Night Beacon' first year in my garden and it's not bad.

This phlox I plucked from my brothers yard(partly shady) and planted it in full sun at my house. It's about 5 1/2 feet tall vs his 2.5ft. lol
"Indian Giver' is STILL blooming here.
And so is 'Rocky's Eye' I love the bloom power of these 2 DL's!

My ROS has a ton of buds on it this year....ones in the shade had a bluish hue.
love that phlox!!!... and thank god the one in question is already planted in the front of the house... there are no others in that bed.. from now on if they are bought as bulbs I am going to put them in containers until fall
nice pictures everyone - i've been side tracked with all the painting i've been doing so there has not been time - was curious about the crape victor as the one i bought last year has no signs of buds yet - lots of buds here on the ros as well celeste

Venu.... the bee did not survive! that tiny, little, translucent white, spider killed it within maybe 10-15 seconds after the initiall attack.

Pixie.... that 'Night Beacon' is great. Love the intense color of it. It seems so strange to me that I love dark reds in the garden, but not anywhere on me.

Onewish ! Give your Night Beacon another year. I had a spider Red Thrill that looked like this the first year.
