Trade list for CS RU

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Anne,
It is so nice of you to have us. You don't need to pretty up on our account! We all went through the same darned hot summer! We all have plant issues to deal with. Some will get done soon, others as we get around to it.

You are doing enough by offering us your place to meet.

Charlene

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

Well, we're doing some things that needed doing during the summer but as you said it was just too hot. But other than cleaning the house and moving my containers to the yard to make room on the porch we're not really doing anything too different. And as for the containers I have to move them to the garage before too long anyway. The round up just gives me an excuse to do the things I'd been needing to do anyway.

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks Anne, I have one person that may be able to help.
Smockette...it's been ...3....years! You need to get your shredded white brug cutting! You forgot, huh?

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

I keep thinking I'm coming to Austin & still haven't got there! One of these days!!! lol

Sugar Land, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm not sure how these things work. Can I just bring some plants even if there is no set trade for them? I also have some gardening books I'd like to have a home for - would it be ok to bring them (just to give to anyone who wants them?)?

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

I'm sure that would be fine. You might post what you have and that way people can be thinking about what extra they might bring to trade. But I know I have extras.

Sugar Land, TX(Zone 9a)

I can have many NOID white or orange brug cuttings. I have a two foot high NOID variagated brug, I would love to dig up and find a home for.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Peony, I would love to make a trade for your varigated brug.

My list is finally posted.

In this garden, nothing is required! You just come & bring your happy self!!!
I went to NE Tx RU yesterday. Had a major funeral in Hou that would let me come home til after midnite Friday nite! Met Smock (longhaired hippie) @ truck stop & as I was loading my plants in his truck, remembered that I had forgot my door prize. Oh, no, not again! Oh, yes, you did it again!!

Wow!! that is one tall cactus Sandy.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

It is Frostweed. My best friend gave me a cutting 20 yrs ago but it did not really grow till I put it in the ground about 5 yrs ago. It withstood Hurricane Ike. Some of it was bent over at the top and I cut if off this spring and it grew another 2 feet. I need to post it in cactus forum and see what it is. It withstood the frost that one 7ft tall that I got at another RU got nipped 1/2 way back. It is coming back. I wish I could find the picture of it covered in snow last Dec. did not hurt it a bit.

Now if I could type as good as it grows I would really have it made. :o)

I am adding Cape Honeysuckle the orange one if anyone would like some.

I have been doing a lot of lifting I am not suppose to so forgive me if I ask anyone who would like plants like Cape Honeysuckle to let me know as I am really paying for the work I have been doing. My neighbor is moving and he has given me a bunch of brick and I have been using my yellow wagon from Lowe's to bring them over 35 at a time and it is really hard on a my back since I am disabled. But I really need them. I got 3 wagon loads yesterday and have to rest 2 days before I can get more. Unless I just want to swallow pain killers. No thanks would rather be in pain. My Dr told me years ago just to take them and we will deal with the addiction later. Nope I have to be in control of me not anything else control me. I do take them when all else fails. Too stubborn for my own good. :o)

This was taken 10/16. Just last Thurs.

Red Cascade mini climbing Rose cuttings
Wedelia Trailing Yellow (rooted)
Cape Honeysuckle cuttings (rooted)
Pomegranate cuttings
Oleander Mrs. George Roeding
Confederate Jasmine cuttings...

Do you have any bottom heat for the cuttings? Or any heat in your greenhouse? I would think they will root but it depends on how cold it gets and stays. I rooted Oleander Mrs. George Roeding in water. I will look and see if I have one rooted.

Oh yes I would love some ginger. Please
