themoonhowl, 'cuter' is the right word for my little son.
Each day I will have a gentle kiss to the baby, saying mooma...mooma.
So happy to have a baby to play with.
Now my baby can say 'ma,ma' with a rising tone, and 'ho,ho' subconscienciously.
REDROSE, long time no see. You are on my mind all the while.
Eight years ago right in DG, we met often and chatted a lot. now DG is becoming far larger, so our meeting is less than before. But our friendship is rooted. Hope everything yonder is okay. I am glad to hear that youare going to be a grandma.
As you guessed right, still teaching high school is my career to making a living.
Here everything is all right, thank God's great blessing. My elder son is at college. When he finishes his studies, he will go outside to meet the world on his own. By financial support is necessary if he needs it. As a matter of fact, 2/3 of my income goes for my two kids. Like doing so, for the kids are a main part of my life.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

He is a fine little boy, Jianhua. And I agree, children are the mainstay in our lives. Both sons are fortunate to have you as a father.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

How so?
A completely different new world.
My 100-day-old baby might be thinking so
After seeing his first snow on earth.
Last Thursday we met a snowstorm,
Which is said the biggest one in the last few decades.
Adults were smart enough to hid themselves indoors,
But for kids, things were quite different.
They seemed found a paradise --
Playing snow games, making snowmen,
And even my baby son cried for outing.

How so? Simple....You are proud to be their father and you love them and are willingly making sacrifices for them.Your words about them carry love and respect for them....Bowang and his tiny brother Bochang will have hearts full of love and honor from your good example.

BoChange is growing quickly and is still so cute and sweet. We were blessed in April with our third grandson, Ethan. He lives in Australia....so far away.

Jianhua, hello to you and your wife.
Bochang is the picture of a happy well cared for baby. Love his cheerful outfit too. He appears so content and his photos continue to bring me the biggest smiles. Thank you for sharing them.

Congratulations Moon! Ethan is beautiful! Did you give him a squeeze for every mile traveled? ^_^ 17,000 miles, round-trip??!!!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

One way, Angele...and I gritted my teeth the whole way....grin. Thanks so much, and yes I held him as much as his little body could tolerate...grin. When I had to put him down, I held his big brother Aidan, who is 4 now.

No, that was his Mom, my daughter. This is Aidan now. He just met his new little brother.

I feel the love on this thread! Thank you Jianhua for the update on your beautiful family. It makes my heart swell to see a father so devoted and caring. Moon your grandbabies are precious too Thanks for sharing

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Everyone is warmly welcome to this thread. And I am so happy to share with you.
Now I have a firmer belief that being with kids means being with happiness.
themoonhowl, yours are even cuter than mine with bigger noses (for a Chinese kid, the nose is relatively small, hehehe). Ethan, the name sounds just like the Chinese word DOCTOR,while Aidan, it means lovely kid, so these two name given are universal both in the west and in the east.
Just a couple of days ago, we met with a snowstorm, which was not expected. Media say it might be the biggest one in the last few decades. Roads were blocked and electricity power was cut offf for two days. Tree branches fallen down by heavy load were seen lying on the ground everywhere. it caused great damage. but kids did not care about it. They seemed to be joyous than ever, playing outside merrily with their little hands reddish like the buds of ginger tubers. My secondborn little one loved seeing the new scenery, and for not once he was ahaha-ing for outing. Here is another picture while he is enjoying the whitesnow world.

Jianhua, Chang is just so sweet, he makes this grandma's heart smile as my little grandsons do. Sorry you are having such bad weather, but you are right, the children are not troubled by such things. Thank you for your kind words about my little ones, to me all little ones are precious and lovely....smile

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Awww so cute and outfit too wow snow over there it had over here last year snow but not much.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Since I have no daughter under my knees, I just regard this little son as my true daughter. I tell Wife , saying, decorate him with flower-like outfits and call him Niuniu (gal). hehehe
Much to our surprise, the little one can now call Ma clearly, and communicate with us in the simple word Ho-Ho. I am thinking now from baby to kid and to boy won't take a long time.
My two sons are my priceless treasures, and nothing on earth can take their place.

They do grow up so quickly...it is both a joy and a sorrow....grin Bowang has grown to be a fine handsome young man. It will not be too many years before you and your wife are loving grandbabies....grin

This is my number one grandson, Jordan. He has lived with us since he was 2 years old. We call him our generation bridge.....half son, half grandson....grin

Jianhua your family is very handsome indeed. I see a grandaughter in the future from son Bowang. Moon Jordan is very handsome too and looking very much like a man now.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Already 15 and growing so fast....think Great Grand motherhood lurks in the not so very distant future...LOL Thanks Flowers, I think he's pretty special.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Nice picture of your older son nice looking man.

Crossville, TN

A very handsome Number 1 son too!!! Jo

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Moon, Jordan your generation bridge is a handsome young man now. Wonder if he got a gal? My son Bowang did not yet. We parents comment that he just fixes his eyes upward. Maybe we will have to wait for another few years to see his other half. These days parents are hard to read their sons' hearts.
As I told WantbeGardener, we have not met big snow for quite a few years. This is strange, but this year so early that we met two big snows, and we have to have the air-conditioner running all the night. These days we are warned of the swine flu, so for the sake of safety, I tell wife not to go outsidewith the baby among the crowd. The vaccine against H1N1 virus is limited in number, and so far only we teachers got the injection.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Jianhua, good day to you. No, Jordan does not have a girlfriend....he is a bit shy, and that is okay with me....grin We want him to learn to be a friend first and know respect for young ladies. He has many years ahead to have a girlfriend....patience, friendship and respect....then he will be ready to be a boyfriend. smile

I think Bowang knows those things and has his eye on a good education first....(good teachings from his parents). One day he will be blessed with a good wife, a good life and a sweet little one.

H1N1 is showing up here too. Our state has had over 30 deaths and vaccine is not available for all yet. Wise to limit Bochang's exposure to the outside. Good thoughts and best regards to you all. Jean/Moon

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I just wanted to take a moment to wish Jianhua a very happy Birthday. I hope your day is full of happiness and many happy surprises. Best regards to you and your family.

Happy Birthday Jianhua.

Best Regards, Jean/Moon

Happy birthday Jianhua! Wishing you & your family a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead.

Any new pictures of Bochang you can share? ^_^
