robins all over the back yard, but I don't see them on the crabapple tree as yet.
DAILY PICS VOL. 237
Great pics everyone!!
Why Thank you burn!! I do see them around town like that too. So glad their not in the yard right now. Wow your so lucky with all the Warblers!
Tiger, Love your Western Tanagers!!
Sweet pics Mrs Ed!
Love the Crow nanny!
He is a beauty Teresa! Great job with the pics!
Nice Photo's All!
Wow LL, you are really getting the nice close pictures of them. That's cool. Watch and see if they take the nuts and store them in that dead tree.
Hi Marna, I believe they do. For every time I saw they found a peanut, if they don't return to that very spot on my dogwood (as shown above) to eat the nut, they flew off with the peanut in their beaks. That was then they gathered them and store them at the nesting site I'm sure. But the tree is rather tall, and my camera doesn't have the extended lense to zoom in to the top.
Very nice hummer Teresa.
All the pictures are great for sure:)
burn, I love the yellow warbler. I wish that I could see one. They are so beautiful!
I have literally spent the whole entire day trying to get a good picture of the Kite's, and this was the best I got! Bummer. I wish my pictures would come out like pelletory's hawk. It's very hard to keep up with them flying. Most of the time they were only about 10 ft. above me, but keeping up with them in the view finder was difficult. They fly like they are drunk or something, one minute they are flying straight, the next they are doing a dive bomb, or completely turned around.
LOL, Teresa (flying drunk)! If they are flying like swallows do they will be hard to get a sharp pic of for sure. Actually I think your pic is pretty good!
Love the hummer!
Teresa your pic is better, then the one I took of a nighthawk, a few days ago. In yours, you can actually, see the whole bird. Poor OldNed had to strain his eyes, to ID mine. I do love those yellow warbler too, they have the cutest expression, thanks.
Lily :)) you could always change the b in Ruby, to a d, as in Rudy, for a male.
Black-capped Chickadee.
burn, that is one tough bird to spot anyways. The only reason I saw it was because I seen it land. If it weren't for that I'd have never known it was even there! I'm sure it's not that bad:) You sure do seem to have a vast variety of birds! Great pictures. And thanks pelletory.
Hi everyone...here is a link to the new thread I just started http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1027738/ .
Burn...you might want to repost your pics on the new thread so no one misses them. You have had lots of visitors this summer...congratulations!
