Nanny, I can't help but love those wrens! They're so cute and small but unbelievably loud. Same goes for Chicadees, not to mention the Titmouse, they're constantly chattering.
DAILY PICS VOL. 237
duc, nice shots of the Bald Eagles. I saw one yesterday but he/she was too far away for a decent photo.
Lily, I sure like your Red-headed Woodpecker.
Margaret, excellent photos of your local birds.
adel, how big is the White-headed Woodpecker ?
nanny, nice House Wren photos. I actually see more Carolina Wrens which are even noisier.
Here's one of our local Osprey bring home dinner ......... For whatever reason, this year, I see few nests with more than one young.
Linth, Beautiful shots!!
When I was down Cape May on the Bird Watching Boat last month we saw at least 6 nests of Ospreys and every one had 3 chicks! Hopefully it will be a good year for them.
Thanks for sharing your pics with us. Ospreys rock!!!
Nanny, Love your House Wren! Haven't seen mine around much.
Lily, Love your Red-headed Woodpecker!
I am awestruck by the beautiful shots on this thread and thanks for starting it Duc!

Lily, our Osprey usually fly south along the Atlantic coast, stop off in Florida, cross the Gulf, stop off in Cuba or Dominican Republic and from there head to Central and/or South America. I have attached a link that I have followed for a number of years which provides maps of their journey southward. They have tagged 11 new Osprey in 2009. This is a very interesting project that you should enjoy taking a look at.

Linth, excellent photos of the Osprey. I was just out checking one at a local park on the lake. For some reason one of the babies refuses to go very far from the nest, even though it's old enough to leave. I love the way the eagles and osprey always have the fish facing forward in the talons.
Margaret, awesome photos!!
Lily, another good one of the red-headed and nuthatch.
Rose, that's a beatiful Meadowlark.
California Thrashers are here at the birdbath every morning. I just love that long beak.
Nice ones Duc, Pelle and Nanny. I would love to see one of those Thrashers! We haven't had any Starlings for ages and I'm not complaining since the Grackles are here in numbers. Still haven't seen any female or juvie Indigo Buntings at the feeders...just the mature males.
I think this photo needs a cuteness warning...isn't he just the sweetest little Goldfinch?!!
He is adorable Rose! Our numbers of Goldfinch are picking up quite a bit.
Love your buntings nanny!
Thank you, Linth. for the Osprey's Bioweb. link.
Rose I like your Meadowlark, sorry it has the 'itches'. lol.
Pelle, your Blue Jay is so pretty, and the Carolina Wren is cute.
Nanny, I love those Indigo Buntings, why does the males are so much more colorful than the females? LOL.
Ditto on the Gold Finch, Rose. ^_^
LOL..those "eyebrows" too!!
Oh I love those orange eyebrows too! :-)
Same thought here! ROFL
Rose I have a mature crabapples, and only got a handful on mine last year and this year. It was so cold in spring, had no pollinators. Will have to resort on feeding them grapes, and will try to collect some the Mountain ash berries, to attract them.
Lol on the eyebrows, so cute.
Nice bunting Nanny, where are mine???
Pelle the Starlings are lurking, I'm telling you. They.........'ll be bac...............k. I see them in bunches in the areas, but not in my yard so far. Cute Wren!!
Love the picture of your Thrasher Duc.
Lily, I checked my book to see if those Red-headed, come near here, Seems, I would have to go down the Province to see some. Hardly touching us in N.B.
Osprey shots and Corella's are so awesome, Linth and Margaret.
A Rusty blackbird.
Burn, I spotted a Hooded Warbler which Resin helped I.D. not too long ago. the last couple of days I saw some greenish/yellow birds came by the feeder, I wasn't sure it was the Pine siskens returning or some new Warblers. I've to admit, the Redheaded WP got me chasing after their photographs than anything else. lol.
Congratulations burn; nice pics!
Linth.................White -headed Woodpeckers are the same size as a Red-headed or a Hairy Woodpecker (9.25 in.)
Wow, linth. Wonderful Osprey shots. Great link as well. I spent at least a couple of hours exploring it. I think I'd keel over and die if ever I was fortunate enough to be in a place where there were thousands of Ospreys.
Cute little House Wren, nanny.
Rose, your Goldfinch is so funny. Looks like a gawky kid.
Nice Caroline Wren, Pelle.
Congratulations on the new sighting, Burn.
duc, the Thrasher is gorgeous. Even its name has character.
