I love the desciption of the flowers in your wedding announcement, JoAnn. You look beautiful.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh my goodness ladies! What beauties we have on this forum(but I already knew that).
Dyane & Jen I love the transition from teen to young bride, beautiful photos.
Jada were you a little angel or what? You look just like one in that photo. I bet those are black patent leather shoes?? Looks just like the ones I had!! lol
3G's I love the partridge shot, my DH said I might have had competion if you had lived in Maine. Any girl who can flush partridge, pheasnat, or rabbit is a keeper!! ^_^
Jo Ann what lovely bride you were! I love how back then the paper described the dress and the flowers the bride carried . I see you were a lily lover like me, from a very young age. ^_^
Maria, who would of known we were graced by a model here in the N.E. forum!! Stunning photo, so nice the photographer gave you a copy.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Dyane , we were thinking the same thing about the wedding photo and description!! lol

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Yep, Yep. The descriptions were so thorough in the paper. They certainly don't do that today.

Quoting:

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Maria
He is so regal. Looks like the king of the castle. Almost lioness. His name suits him. Does he sometimes act as if HE owns you? Mine does:-) (He's very jealous.)

This is a great thread!

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

As long as we're onto dogs...here I am at 8 yrs. old with my dog Pepper, she was a great little dog. Can you believe that one of her puppies just passed away a few years ago at the age of 25!

Good looking family Victor

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I had to go digging, then scan it and DH managed to get the photo dirty!!
I'm not sure how old I am here....maybe 18-20 months? This photo was on my DGM mantle until she died when I was 9. My Mom took it home and had the picture copied and colored. I didn't like the colored photo, didn't look natural so I took my DGM original and let mom keep the colored one. lol Besides, this one has sentimental value!!
I know that the dress is yellow with white apron, red ball and white leather shoes.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hee hee! Great shots, Bill and Celeste.

Something about telephones.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Celeste, I can tell we are about the same age because I used to wear dresses like that! Sherrie, every kid has a toy telephone, or is that a "real" one? I know we used to have a toy one or maybe more than one when I was growing up.

My kids were born with cell phones attached to their ears. I'll have to see if I can find a baby picture of that!

It's strange that if you know the adult, you can see him/her in the child. So far, I can't predict what kids are going to look like as adults.

Phones and girls...

Ffld County, CT(Zone 6b)

Victor, you do have the best ideas for threads! I am loving this one! (Although Victor you look nothing like what I thought you did!)

Bill, you have me laughing so hard with the pics of your brother and sister! Ears are a problem in my family too. Fortunately I lucked out in that department.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Dee. Hee hee - how did you picture me??!

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Jen, I think you were asking about my dog, Pepper. We got her as a puppy from a woman that bred Miniature Schnauzers. She happened to have a Shihtzu as a pet in the house. Well, one day a Shihtzu met a Schnauzer...Pepper was born from an unintentional litter! Pepper then snuck out of our house while she was in heat and ended up with an unintentional litter from a Poodle that happened by. So, her puppy that lived to 25 was a Shihtzu/Schnauzer/Poodle. A Shnoodlezu, maybe?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The two breeds with the funniest names!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

dee glad you enjoyed it.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

If you cross a Jack Russell terrier with a shihtzu, do you get, I don't know, Jack Shihtzu???

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

That's a good one, Victor.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

love em Pixie, Wha & Shicken!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Forgot to say - thank you, Maria.

Here I am with my wife around the end of '92 - about 1 1/2 years after getting married. You can see my hairline already in retreat! Started as soon as I uttered those two fateful words...
