Geranium sidoides...marie saw one at Don's.
So. Calif. RoundUp...Need your input and ideas !
What fun! Hope you can both make it.
I'm in. What about at Glen Helen park, it is big and shady, from what I see? People can even camp there if they chose too. Carpenteria state beach has a huge area that we could take over, actually two of them that are adequate for large groups.
Yea Dawn, it will be so good to see you.
Rodica, that 1 star hotel is taking reservations for 2!!!!!!!
Oh no, not the Arizona twosome!!! lol
Hey girls, it will be great to see you all again.
Will we have a theme?
Thanks Louise. It is a five star in my book. :O)
I hope the 'awesome twosome' , the two 'partners in crime' will be there.
Wcgypsy, can I ask you for one geranium for me, please, please, please ?
Quyen,
Since we are trying to throw this RU gathering at the last minute, I don't know about doing a theme. If you have any ideas, you are welcome to voice them and see what people think.
Our main goal right now is to make this RU happen this Fall. We will hopefully get back on track with our normal RU next spring (like in previous years).
I look forward to seeing you again.
Donna
I vote for 'no theme'...let the chips and the food fall where they may.....
LOL. Yep, make it edible and tasty and they will come and eat it!
When I cook, I can't do edible AND tasty...it's one or the other.
Thank God for markets with ready made food...
LOL !
I agree, since it is impromptu it may be harder or more stressful to try to get the theme to work. No location ideas yet?
Are we having a food thread again? We can do seed trades or start with the seedlings now.
Hi Dawn, nice to see you around again.
We will know the location tomorrow morning. We have picked a place, just need to see if our new date will work. We were having a tough time finding dates that would work with everyone.
I will post tomorrow morning after I get notified and will then start a new thread with all the particulars. We will at that time start a food and plant trade thread.
Donna
Sounds good Donna.
Thanks for the laugh, JD. Can't wait to ink this RU on my calendar. : )

OH BOY!!! Looking forward to a date and location.
I thought the "theme" was gardening???
I plan to bring at least ONE thing from my garden to eat.
I have some very late cantaloupes. Maybe there'll still be a couple for eating by then. I have several about the size of a walnut right now with blooms still coming on.
I'm sure I'll still have plenty of tomatoes!!
This is so cool!!
I am meeting Louise (weegy) for lunch today and should find out the results of our reservations. I will post here when I get home.
DP, yummy on the cantalopes. I tried growing them one year and they just took up too much space for my little veggie area....but they were good too. My tomatoes this year are so good. I've been eating tomato salads everyday for lunch and sliced tomatoes with dinner. Those store bought ones are just so tastless after eating them from your own garden.
TTYL,
Donna
I'm actually using the cantaloupe vines for a ground cover in my large bed in the front of the school. Makes a lovely cover and produces some tasty melons as well.
Hey everybody,
We have had some ups and downs getting this organized, but I think we have it arranged now. I am starting a new thread with all the pertinent information. I sure hope this all works for many of you.
Donna
Oops, forgot to do the link to the new thread. lol Thanks Kathleen for taking care of it.
