Now that we know when the dedication is and if everyone here so far doesn't mind shall we set it for October 10th that way everyone that has posted interested so far would be able to attend?
I do realize this makes it back to back weekends for Arlington and East Texas, but I am also reading that it would still be okay.
This way DD Dude (giggles) if he doesn't mind can check with Loves Lookout and make sure there is nothing else going on there and can let them now the date for us also.

Phyllis, DD said the dedication is on the Monday 19th, not Saturday 17th, did you notice that?

I'd rather not have the roundup so close to the garden dedication. I vote October 10th. Moreover, it gives an extra week to get plants into the ground before frost hits.

A week wouldn't make much difference weather wise to me, I vote the 17th so that more people could be at both Arlington and Jacksonville.

I really like the idea of having a weekend between the two in Arlington and East TX. So, my question is Dave, would you still be able to attend on the 17th? If so, I'd vote 17th.

Well, since Dave can make it on the 17th, I vote for the 17th then, I didn't want to say anything, but I can't come on the 10th that day is the Native Plant Society sale and I have to be there.

I've never attended a Roundup. Do I bring my plants to swap for other plants? How many plants may I bring?

There is another thread that has the plants you have and want. A lot of people also bring extras to just pass out. In the end, what goes around, comes around. Looking forward to meeting you.

On the trade thread you post a list of plants you have to trade and a list of plants you want in exchange
Of course you do not have to limit it to just plants
we have had gardening tools, craft items, homemade bread, jams, jellies, salsa etc.

When I first moved to Texas in 07 had no plants to trade but went to the RU's anyway and everyone has made me feel so welcome it is one big family.

we also do door prizes and ask that everyone bring an item for a door prize and if it is more then just you coming then an item for each person to put in so everyone gets a prize that brings one.
We also do a pot luck lunch ...which closer to time I will start a thread for that
