Me, too, Madrid?
Are you bringing my traveling companion? I bet she has grown a foot since I saw her in the spring!!! I have 80' of GHs now & really trying to get Raccoon Gardens going in the spring, so if you need plants, you will have a Gift Cert for your new house!!!
College Station fall round up?
I spoke with my mom this past weekend and we are both going to try and make this roundup. I was really bummed to miss the ft worth one this year, and so we are going to try hard to make this. Since I have been busy and will most likely be moving in the next year, I don't have much of anything to trade. But I will look around for some things.
:) Kim
That's great to hear. So what is you Ph.d in? I know you've said I just can't remember.
It will be in Veterinary Physiology, but my background is in large animal transgenics.
Cool.
Ok guys, we're getting down to the wire. Seven people have signed up on the food list. I know we have more than that coming. I've got a cooler, anyone want to bring ice or drinks? Besides the jalepeño wine? Bubba do I need to get wine glasses (plastic ones anyway)? If someone will post a link to that list I'd appreciate it. I'm technologically declined. lol

I think I'm going to have to skip this year's RU. I have two major projects for a class I'm taking, and have already been out of town for the past two weekends. Have a great time, and I hope to see everyone next year!
Tabitha
Anne, I'll bring a bag of ice and a couple of gallons of iced tea. I'm so excited!
Hey, GF!!! We will be there Friday. Will ck the lists & add to both!
:~)
Anne, Smock will be coming up Saturday morning.
That works. I'm counting on around 30. More would be welcome too, but just an off the cuff count it looks like about that.
Sounds like ya'll are going to have sooooo much fun! So sorry to miss it. I have to work the flower show Friday 1-7 and then again Saturday morning. Will probably stay thru till the judging is over and see who all wins ribbons. DH is in IL with his 100 yr old mother in the hospital. I may have to drop everything and fly there too...so I'm not going to enter anything in the show this time. And Sat. nite is the Annual Neighborhood Chili Cook-Off at the end of the cu-de-sac....
I'm sure I posted that I probably couldn't make it, but can't find post and figured the "food thread" would be a good place to re-post to be sure.
I hope to meet all of you at the next one.....and thanks Aunt Anne for being such a gracious host. I had a group of DGers a few yrs ago to the house after we all got together and went nursery hopping. My son-in-law was horrified that I was having people I'd "never met, and worse...connected with on the Internet"... come to my house. He said he considered us a "Horticult!" Wish I had made t-shirts of that for us! Too funny.....and not one serial killer in the whole bunch!
Sandi
I don't know, the way my yard looked this summer I may have qualified for serial killer. Dead plants everywhere.
What time is this starting tomorrow?
10am, Kim
Anne, I'm sorry but my husband's mother has had a mishap and we're not going to be able to be there tomorrow. I'm looking forward to next years!
Deb
I'm so sorry Deb. Definitely next year.
For anyone who gets lost: 979-220-3889. Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow.

Sorry to check in so late :( I'm coming tomorrow with my mom. We are bringing a vegetable platter and fruit tray. I've been up since 3 am making homemade cookies. Thanks to the drought I have nothing to trade, but I'm just coming to see how these round up things works. Hopefully I'll have a ton of stuff next year. There are seed pods on my Pride of Barbados, I'm going to bring those and see if anyone can tell me if the seeds are ready and the best way to get them out.
Also, Sunday at 10am ARE is having a class on Texas tough plants. I have to say after this brutal summer, I'm a huge fan of bat face, guara, esperanza and salvia. The ONLY things that bloomed in spite of the blistering heat.
You do know that tomorrow is now today, don't you?
Come on! The more the merrier & we are a bunch of merry people!!!
Since you are so close, it would be a big SHAME to miss this RU!!!!!!!!!
Ha, ha! I bet you!!! I'm already here!!! lol
:~)
Not sure if anyone will be checking this as late as it is, but my BIL is staying with my MIL so that we can come to the round up! YEA! We will be later getting there, but we'll be on our way shortly. I'm excited to finally get to meet up with ya'll!
Deb
