thanks Trish. Just wondered as i work for texas a&m health science center
College Station fall round up?
Thank you, Anne,....for offering! It's great with us, as well! Chairs are not a problem...anything else which will help?
I'm in...
Wonderful!
Sorry for my late reply....worked the night shift and just got home.
Ken, I'll need to look up the names. Hurricanes blew my tags off and I haven't taken the time to replace. I'll post the names this evening for you.
Borderpatrol, Cheri had most of her credits transferred from NSU to Blinn last year to finish her RN nursing degree. I wanted her to attend Tx. A & M, but I think Blinn offered cheaper rates. She'll graduate next May.
Trish, I want another birdhouse, please ;)
Anne, your place sounds great!
Bigbubbles can't wait to meet you....already feel as if I know you after all our emails. Hope your MIL is still doing alright.
Anne, that is wonderful. We will enjoy getting to gather at your place.
Charlene
Borderpatrol, I meant to say we all bring extra plants to these swaps. If you see anything on my list after I get it posted that you want please let me know.
Ken, my Hidden Ginger is Curcuma petiolata.
Spiral Ginger: Costus pulverulentus
LMK if you don't have these two and I'll get them tagged for you.
Anne, when will you start a trade thread?
k, I think that the trade thread is up, I don't know how to do the link thing. I'll start a thread for potluck as the time gets closer. I hope by then I'll have a halfway decent garden. My dayliliy bed is a disaster area. Very few of my iris bloomed. My brugs that are in the ground never got any bigger than what they were in March. Anyway enough whining. I just got in from watering so I'm a bit depressed.
Anne, I'll try to locate the trade thread and post the link here.
All my family that live in and around College Station has said it's been devasting on plants without much rain this year....even if you water everyday. I think Trish Ann has lost well over half of her plants. Hope you all get rain soon.
Thread to trade list

Lying Bob, our weather man, said it would rain this afternoon - we're still waiting.
Reliable Rusty, our weatherman, said it wouldn't. He was right, but I wish he had been wrong. He has just come back from two weeks in Alaska, lucky guy.
Dollie, I have the Curcuma but the Costus I would like to try. There are several subspecies and some are not Winter hardy here in bad years. Do you know the color of the bloom? Thanks.
Ken, the stems turn burgundy depending on how much sun it gets. The blooms are a very deep pretty burgundy color. I had photos of her until my computer crashed. Costus gets up to 7ft tall. These are winter hardy here. My zone is border-line 8/9. I also grow these at my grandmothers old home place in zone 8 without any problems.
I'll get you tagged.
Border, I'm sure that it rained somewhere in the area. I work in Normangee and yesterday as I came down Hwy. 21 it looked to be raining off to the south. I got my hopes up but alas and alack rain I did lack, lol. As you can see it's past my bedtime.
I've never been to a RU but I'll be at this one! sounds like fun!!! I don't think I have anything to trade, though, so I'll just come visit and put some faces with names! Thanks, Ann, for having it at your place!
Deb
You are so welcome. Trades are fun but round ups are mostly about getting together.
I just got home from vacation. I am so excited! A RU that I can actually come to! Count me in, please. I won't have anything to trade, but can't wait to get some good input on what might survive here in Bryan. Can't wait to meet you all!
It's official! I have you listed...Have a great time...as I'm sure you will. Jo

I'd like to come, if that is ok.
You are of course most welcome, peony.
Don't ask, just come. Bring plants if you like but come.
Thank you. I will come. :o)
Sounds fun...now that we are getting a little more rain I can think about maybe trading a few plants. Better yet, it sounds like some great people will be there.
Jumping in here late, I hope to attend also and you are so kind to have us, Aunt Anne. I can bring 2 chairs and 2 card tables.
That sounds great.
Shouldn't we go ahead with a food thread so we can get that out of the way too? I sure look forward to coming to your house and seeing your all your beauties.
Thanks for having us. I will bring plates and napkins. I don't have any chairs or tables.
With all the heat there isn't a lot of beauty left. I will go ahead and put up the food thread.
Just want to make sure I'm up to speed: The RU is on Nov 7 at Aunt Anne's?
yup
i've been traveling - left rochester ny today. talked to my sis in bcs and she said it had rained. Heading to baltimore now and will be home wed night.
looking forward to ru
Yes Bryan got rain, we didn't here in Wellborn area though, wah!
Would CJ still be doing the Spring Roundup?
The round up will be at 3601 Barron Cutoff, College Station, Tx. The date is November 7th from 10:00 until whenever. I checked with yahoo maps and it showed where I am. If you have any questions or need further directions let me know. I still have room for anyone who wishes to come up the night before.
Anne

If you're planning on coming, and don't see your name please respond to this list. It's looking like a really nice round up. Now if the ground that was wayyy too dry but is now wayyyy too wet would dry just a little bit. Just goes to show there's no pleasing some people, lol.
I will be there and I will be with my sweet bride Maggi.
I look forward to meeting you both.
I'll be there with my husband - we're looking forward to it!
Deb
I'm still lurking, but am undecided. I will be moving this spring or summer, so if I do come, it will be to give plants instead of receiving.
Here is what I will be bringing if I come:
Japanese Clerodendrum
Clerodendrum bungei
Alocasia x calidora
Sweet Herb Lippia dulcis
May I have one of each Madrid?
