Sometimes when surfing the threads, I notice little to no response to some of the newbies. It bothers me just a little!...We all love our girls and prize animals, and enjoy sharing with others. It's a litte discouraging for newbies when no one shows interest. Please don't be upset with me, but just stopping by to say Hi can mean a lot. Thanks for thinking about it Howie

Hi Haystack!! sorry i havent been on very much lately, but yes i will try to respond to the newbies..been crazy here..how is that hot weather there? i cant believe that that area is having such miserable weather..the one reason i loved that there is cause it never got super hot..yipes!!

Yikes. it was l03 here for two days in a row and high nineties for a solid week. I got little to no work done as I was worn out running from the sun. WOW I sure have missed you. I opened a facebook account a couple weeks ago--but it was for purely nefarious reasons and I have never looked at it--I am not sure how to, actually. But I received some email notices that I have been "friended" by a few people I know...so I feel guilty.
So many things in life make me feel guilty....it is hardly worth getting out of bed in the morning...and I feel guilty about that too...

Zeesh, Farmtown has people enmeshed on another list I frequent, too. And these are people who have never known the joy of caressing the soft feathers (and dodging the furious beak) of a flesh-and-blood chicken nor of plucking the perfect, sun-warmed ripe tomato (nor the perfect, sun-warmed hornworm), nor could they care about such things. Instead they are in thrall to a computer screen mimicking - I say unto you impersonating! - the joys and vicissitudes of our agrarian experiences. Shun ye the imposter, o DG-ers, and return to the fold!
I have gotten lo, these many invitations from Facebook, from friends and acquaintances all over. To the trash they go, every one. I am not tempted at all....at all..... at all.....
Hay, back to your original point, maybe if a newbie posts a question and none of us responds because we don't have an answer, we could mayhap bump it up so that someone else might see it who could reply. Good point, though!
Oh I have not deserted you all, but need some farm stimulation while I am at work. Hay I do ride, getting Billy ready for fair, and his 3rd lead line class... I keep in touch with the family on facebook, it has replaced the telephone and e-mails... LOL

Fortunately I don't know HOW to do Farmtown...lol.
Oh gorwnut I can show you... It does not cost money, and if you harvest your crops you can buy all kinds of goodies, just ask ZZ..... The trees give fruit every 3 to 4 days, and the drops can harvest in a few hours to a few days. You can make cool crop designs. Your flowers stay in bloom no matter what.
Catscan, what better way to have zillions of animals we dont have to clean up after the critters, and they get fed and watered automatically.You get real farm noises, without the flys..
That is the beauty of it, when I close down the computer, it is still there in the morning.. The best thing is when it is cold and brown outside, or hot and muggy, my farm is still green.
