Suggestion for easier forum searches

When you click on "search forums" you get a search field and a drop-down menu where you can choose a specific forum. Most often, the forum I want to search is the one that I'm in at the time I clicked the search button. It's a minor (but irritating) annoyance to have to scroll down the list of forums, especially if the forum I want is way down the list.

Would it be possible to have the current forum appear at the top of that list when you click the "search" button from the top of that forum?

I know some things are easier to program than others, but if possible, it would be really nifty.

Type in the first letter of the forum you are in. That eliminates a lot to scroll through.

Ah, good suggestion... don't know why I didn't think to try it!

It would still be helpful to have the current forum as the default, but this does cut down on the scrolling. :-)
