I'll go take a look. Hang on.

I got the entry fixed up.

I also tested sending an error report via the red 'Report an Error' button and it worked fine for me. What exactly did the message say when it wouldn't let you send the report?

Maybe you could try sending a test report to see what it actually does. That might be helpful for Dave, Terry or Mel to know to try and figure out what is going on.

A simple way to find your PF entries is look under the 'My Info' tab or click on your name here in this thread and then you will see your PF contributions. They are listed alphabetically according to genus name, not a problem for you though, for my numerous entries, I need that! Anyways, then you click on that PF and scroll to the bottom where it gives you an edit option and you can then change any details yourself.

Admin is always helpful though ^_^

I might have figured out why you can't send an error report.

I went into the 'My Info' link below the banner, clicked on 'Manage Your Preferences' and once in there I removed my email address. When I tried to send an error report without the email address in preferences, I was unable to do so and got this message:

Quoting:
Error: You must give us your email address, or we won't be able to reply!

Did you remove your email address in the preferences?

That is the problem.

We do not share or display anyone's email information and we strongly encourage you to add it to your profile.

Okay...yes I did remove it. I have put it back in now. Thanks so much!!

And thanks Joan for fixing my goof!

melody, I'm confused. Are you saying we should not put our email in that box, for privacy reasons, on the preference page?
thanks

From what I understand Melody to be saying is that no one can access your email. I did not know that so I deleted it out because of a certain matter with another member last year So there for the report an error wouldn't work for me.

You need to have your email in your profile. It is how we can retrieve your password, and we'll need it if you wish to have the newsletter sent, and you'll get a reminder when your subscription is due. We also need your email on file to notify you if you have a D-mail that you've not picked up in 48 hours.

We just keep it in a private area where no one but the admin team has access to it. It will never be shared or displayed publicly. It is for internal use only. No member can access your email address.

It will be perfectly safe to put it in on your preferences page.

Melody: thanks for clearing that up.

You're welcome.
