Red, poor Quasi! Will he recover from whatever ailment? I've seen a purple finch with nearly bald head came to the feeder one morning. Since then I don't know whatever happened to him.
DAILY PICS VOL. 233
Lily, the Cardinal is just molting. You always see a lot of inquiries in late summer about sick/strange looking Cardinals. Her Daddy still loves her. He was feeding her yesterday.:)
cute swallows
Great shots GP, WC and 3g's!
I got half a dozen like this one. This was yesterday. As I watched they hopped from limb to limb and several times nearly fell to the ground. This morning the nest was empty and I saw one hopping on the ground. I got several pictures of it in one of our flower beds. They are on another camera. I will look for them in a minute.
Beautiful shots!!!
Oh Dave he is adorable!!!!!!
Nice shots Burd and nanny!
Ah that mockingbird chick is just so cute! His legs are bigger than him :)
It's been really disappointing birding here this season. Last summer I had warblers everywhere, 8 different kinds. This year I don't think I've seen 8 total. The Bullock's Oriole's left when their nest was raided the day the eggs hatched. Very, very few birds of any kind here. Not even many at Herbert's Pond, but I do see the Great Blue Heron nearly each time I go there. It's bold for an adult, and allows me quite close.
Female House Finch
Female House Sparrow ;-)
Resin
Great shots tiger! Hope things pic up for you during migration.
Hope that little mockingbird makes it, Dave. I had a young one on my patio the other day, but a lot more flight-ready than that one.
A shot of a Greater Roadrunner on my brother-in-law's roof. Spent the night with him last weekend and he commented that every morning a roadrunner sits up on his roof and surveys his acreage. Went out and there he was.
Them Roadrunners are too darn cite!
meep meep!

Very nice ones Red!
Resin I thought about that after I posted lol, the beak didn't look right. :
