Sundays' the big day.....that will be hard, for sure. Here is a Red-Bellied Woodpecker and a squirrel.

Nice Shots All! Found a nice spot 15 minutes away that has gotten me 2 new birds so far, the other day it was the Blue Gray Gnatcatcher, today I got a few shots of a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Correct me if I,m wrong... there were 5 of these lil fellows hanging out in a small tree. I have one shot that was ok.

I haven't had much activity in the backyard lately...perhaps it's busy while I am at work. I have not seen the chicadee, titmouse or downies. Nice shots and nice story of the duck Mrs. Ed.

I did manage to get a couple different birds while at the Osprey nest...the last baby has fledge and they don't seem to visit the nest much.

And here's a young Indigo Bunting. Funny I've been trying to get a shot of the adult at somewhere near eye level (always up high singing) and I got this shot while waiting for the Osprey. I had not clue what kind of bird this was but it kept coming near me. I did not get the best picture because I had the focus distance switch on the wrong settings so I only got 2 decent shots.

One thing about having Grosbeaks around..

I can tell when the berries are getting ripe.

Ran out to Lake Thunderbird and did a little birding this a.m. Added a Yellow-billed Cuckoo to my list. Pic of the Batchelor's Club.

A hen turkey with young. Saw two groups. Not a great pic. Taken with one-hand through the windshield while driving. :)

rain= weeds; therefore, no turkeys looking for a good place for a dust bath--at least the weeds have a good use this time.

rain = bugs. More important that dust baths to poults! :)

There are plenty of bugs in our woods. They do their dusting in our garden which throws plants around.
