NYR...Beautious!!!!!...I was going to d-mail you to see where you went. You hadn't posted (unless I missed it) recently and we are all (at least I was) waiting to see your lilies. All is gorgioso!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

The Queen Strain is a bunch of related oriental lilies that she has not named, but have a similar look. They are lovely spotted beauties. I have found them to hold up quite well, in various parts of my yard. Many of the Queens have been named and have the name Queen in them. Not sure if Buggy Crazy is still listing the Unamed Queen Strain Lilies. She did one year. But if not, she still has a lot of lovely named Queens to choose from!

Love those rich colors in Alaska, Chocolate! And the mass blooms in NY

And just becasue it's a NOID, doesn't make it any less beautiful. Love them mainiac!

Ticker....we need more pictures from you! ^_^

You've all done such a wonderful job I just don't know where to start! What a fabulous selection of lilies we have here. And I am jealous of everyone's cool temperatures that have allowed perfect blooms with vibrant colors. And pixie is still on Asiatics here in late July! LOL Tracey, I knew you had a lot of lilies but didn't know it was this many. Glad you're so meticulous about labeling. Again, beautiful, everyone!

Heck Steve, my gardens are only just now starting to flower.....I mean even the veggies.
We have had a cool extremely rainy summer.(over 13 " of rain in less than 30 days).
Brocolli & lettuce do well in this weather....Watermelon do NOT. Everything is opening slowly.....even Ramona is a head of me!! lol

Chocolatemoose that picture of Salmon Star is stunning.....pictures like that is what makes me buy more bulbs. ^_^ Love that 'Red Out' too!!

NYR your lilies are beautiful!!

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

pixie, that gold one from the school fund raiser is such a deep, rich gold color- gorgeous! Any idea of the name?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

No idea, it came as a bag of mixed bulbs. It said they would be red, orange and yellow.

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

Got the B&D calalog yesterday and Salmon Star is calling me. Like Steve, not much lily action yere, except the potted ones which haven't opened yet.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Got B&D yesterday too...had to put my bib on.

lOving 'Sunny Crown' and just wait until you see your 'Bonbini' :) Looking good there Pixie

Thank you both!
I finally got a label maker that takes laminated tape with extra adhesive. It doesn't fade...a friend gave me a plant with one of these tape type markers 14 months ago. I can read it today as well as I could a year ago, so I bought myself one!! Maybe next year i'll actually be able to read the tag when the flowers are in bloom!
Keeper of the lilies is sleeping on the job!

It's about 3ft tall . Purple Reign seems really purple with white. This is exactly as the picture shows.

AHH the one I posted as 'Suncrest' w/a? is actually Cecil?? That would make sense as they are near each other.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Not necesarily, they have very similar coloring.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm so confused! lol

magnolialover - Thank you for explaining about the Queen Strain. The only spotted Oriental lilies I have are the mixed spotted ones I got last year and that I posted those pictures of. I find that I really like the spotted look and want some more. I will look at buggycrazies spotted orientals and see if I can manage to find something :-))

North Shore of L. I., NY(Zone 6b)

Here are soome more views of the mixed spotted oriental lilies in my front yard.

Chocolatemoose- I have been busy with my daylilies which have been blooming now. But also many of the new trumpets and hybreds have been blooming for me. Not too much of a show yet as the bulbs are new so only afew blooms. But the scent, the scent is wonderful! And each smells slightly different. If the air is still I can smell them all over the yard! I love it.
