Thanks GordonHawk, I will peel them today and plant tomorrow...patience not a strog point with gardeners ^_^

well since there's little choice here... it either sprouts and grows.. or it doesn't.... it's not quite like patience.. it's more like not giving up so easily.. not admitting failure.. for say four months after the starting. before tossing the pots and nonsprouting seeds away .. some from the same pod can be slow .. I just place them in a place where I don't have to water or attend to them.. and just check them every so often to see if I've had and new change in luck ..
pictured is my saucer of last chance... I put all the nonsprouting pots dirt in a saucer with divisions for seed type... and see who commes up in 4-5 months.. after the others have sprouted.. SEE... two of the same cross finally descided it was time..
it doesn't have as much to do with conditions.. Heat/light /water as the others were up and off with the bell... these two of the same pod were just on another schedule..

Sue...I just toured a few picture sites of St John.. lovely.. with plenty of colors.. send some of your garden pictures there.. if you can.. the brugs will fit right in there ... with their overstated everything..
might it be a bit warm for them perhaps..... will you shade them some.. and water lots..

I wonder if you are looking at St. John USVI or St. John's, Antigua - I am the latter. Yes I think I will have to shade them. If the one's I got can go in hanging baskets that would be lovely - I can hang them in trees. From what I understand not all can be suitable for hanging pots.

Sue... Well it was your St Johns...Antigua I found... it looks great there.. on the map I see you're 1/2 way between Columbia and FL as far as Latatude goes... they should be fine in the sun there... with the moist sea air.. and your yard looks lush...moist.. and wonderful... great flowers on your boug... they should be right at home with you.. given plenty of food and moisture.. ...
